Great place to take a day trip to! The Caddo River is beautiful! Parking, shuttle, tube and kayak rental... All available at affordable prices! Friendly staff and easy to find from I-30! Safe and well maintained place to leave your vehicle while you enjoy the float!

Poor service also they dont supply life jackets. Our family family of 5 with 2 under the age of 12 got there bout 11 am on Saturday and they didnt have any life jackets. I ask about them and they said they wasnt responsible for them or what happens on the river.

Girls at the front desk are unfriendly and rude. River was so low that we had to drag our tubes 80% of the way. When we complained, the response was "we can't control mother nature". We aren't asking you to control mother nature, just tell us that the river is too low to float and don't rent tubes when you already know this just for a payday.

We went on Sunday, September 3, day before Labor Day. Their last weekend of operation till spring. Not too busy but definitely saw other people. We brought our own tubes but paid for the shuttle and parking. We blew up the tubes there. No charge. Cost $29 for two people. Paid with debit card and small fee for that. Took about three hours and 15 minutes to go from the dam to the exit. Very nice trip very relaxing. Water temperature is cool and we had a good breeze and beautiful scenery. Much-needed R&R. Don't forget your ice chest so you can stop along the way for a picnic or a snack. Oh, and most importantly, bring YOUR OWN rope to tie everyone and the ice chest, together. Lesson learned. 5 stars. ***Great restaurants nearby. ***Wal-Mart has waterproof phone cases. Worked perfectly!!!

We had a great first girls' trip on the river! All of the staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We brought our own tubes and used this company for a shuttle. The driver was fun and very helpful with answering all of my questions. We went on a Monday, so the float was very calm and quiet. The exit from the river back to the parking lot was very easy to see and easy get to.

The price was ridiculous $5 to park, and $30 to rent the tube and shuttle. Shuttle is maybe 10 minutes and 4 people for the shuttle $60 together, each person pays shuttle. I was thinking $15 for a group but it was each person. I live close and I assure you we will bring our tubes and use an extra vehicle to the drop off. So our total will be $5 just to park.

We had never been to Arkansas and just wanted to do some low level rapids. We were charged $12 per person for less than a 5 minute drive and no pick-up when exiting. Thank goodness we were able to walk to our truck to bring it to the landing to load up our 6 kayaks.

Went here while on vacation in Arkansas. We paid for the shuttle since we brought our own kayaks. The shuttle ride was over priced for a ride down the road 5 mins. After we went down the supposed force to be recond with river, that barely pushed us along, we made it to the stopping point. We tried calling the number to be picked up and the number was someone else. I ended up having to walk back to my truck and pick up my own gear. Horrible service i would not recommend anyone use it. And the prices they advertise are not correct or they just up charged us because we werent locals

The float and water were great, we really enjoyed it, but I was looking at camp ground to consider camping next time but having an actual bathroom is important to us. An onsite bathroom saves us time with camper sewage cleaning. When traveling down like we did this time, we like to change clothes before traveling back home. The only {single) bathroom available was a totally disgusting porta potty that you could smell before you even reached the door. One of our guests opened the door only to see feces all over the toilet and wall below toilet. They are obviously not maintained, as some friends of ours had gone down couple days before us and later told us this was the case when they were there so they opted to change in their cars. It's a shame that it's such a beautiful area but no where to use a clean bathroom or change clothes.

While the float was good, the “canoe”/“kayak” part of the name doesn’t really fit. We went as a group of four to kayak the river but when we arrived at 9:40 on a Tuesday they were out of kayaks except 2 and had no canoes, only tubes. We had checked the website (Facebook) the night before and they offer no reservations and ask not to call, just to read their FAQ type post. Which does mention kayaks. We decided since we had already drove out, we would go ahead and get tubes. The river was mostly flowing but there were a few still spots. Personally I’m not a fan of tubing but it wasn’t a bad float.

We use River Rats everytime we float. If you don't have your own floats, make sure you show up early!

CONSUMER BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! GO TO GLENWOOD INSTEAD!!!Checked their Facebook page like usual to make sure they were open and even commented with one of the employees to let them know we were driving 2.5 hours from Shreveport to float. We pull up and they told us they were not offering any more floats for the day but sent us down the street to the Exxon to buy our own tubes and told us we could could pay $5 and drive ourselves to the drop off and they would provide us with a ride back to our truck once we made it back to the take out. We showed up to the take out and the employee that told us he would be there until 5 was no where to be found at 3:50. Then another employee told us he could take us less than a mile up the road back to our truck for $40 a person and there was 4 of us!!!!! This was my 10th time to come float with caddo river rats and after this experience I will never spend another dime at this establishment. Their communication with consumers that are traveling from other areas to float is disgraceful. Seriously look into other companies to float with. As a business owner myself, I would never allow my business to be run like this.Editing this comment in reply to the owners response...NO the employee we spoke to originally and said that he would be there when we got back was NOT there. Another employee was and apparently it was his first day on the job. What kind of business leaves a brand new employee by himself on his first day? I have NEVER had a problem with your pricing as I’ve spent plenty of money supporting yours business in the past. As mentioned, I previously floated with you guys many times before yesterday. If it was a pricing issue I wouldn’t have come back. Your business is poorly run and your communication with the public traveling from out of town is severely lacking. You turned your reviews off on your FB Page which tells me all I need to know. Clearly you had plenty of bad ones. Your poorly run business is the reason I won’t be returning and I’m encouraging other consumers not to waste their time or money with you. Not your prices.

Very slow. Its the ugliest river I've ever floated. There's concrete, stair pieces, long metal things with footlong nails sticking out and pieces of road an building parts all along the river. Its not the river rats fault. They just got unlucky being stuck with that part of the river. The rest of the caddo river looks nicer. Like at luckys an arrowhead tubing. The service was good though. Just dont expect to have a conversation or prolonged chat with them. Not that you should. Just there not that friendly. Its a business like any other. They're there for the transactions nothing else.

The dam started releasing water to generate electricity (7.09.2021) so they didn't open for the day. 3 stars because had to rate them in order to post. Will give them a try another day.
