Took full advantage of my emergent need and vulnerability. Even down to the very loud throat clearing from one employee to another while going through my paperwork.I walked in their building at 8:30 on a Monday morning, explained I needed a diagnostic ran for my check engine light. Told them what was going on and what I thought it was. They said they would have it read by lunch and would call to discuss. I waited until 1:30, no call. I called them to be told "oh you're next in line". No big deal, it was a Monday and I wasn't scheduled per se. I thanked him and said I would wait for his call.My event finished at 4:00 and still no call. I walked from Hendrix (100+ heat index) back to Hines. My car was moved so I was thinking, okay something was done. I go in to be told, "it's going to be $1100+ to fix everything and we will finish it tomorrow.". The check engine light was that the engine coolant temperature sensor needs replaced, the a/c needs fan work, and recharged. We did the a/c recharge already. Ummmm WHAT?!? No sir, this was not discussed. I asked for my light to be ran and to be called. No one called. I had to pay $216 to get my car. When I stated ".. having to pay money I don't have for yall to do nothing", the guys very proudly said " we did do something, we charged your a/c!". And?!?That didnt even fix my problem. ???♀️? ?They mocked asking how I was going to get home (1.5 hours away), I answered through my tears "I will pray my way home". ??I do not know why God led me to this place to only NOT be heard and get screwed out of much needed money. If you are in the Conway area and need a mechanic, go straight to Austin Brothers. They come highly recommended by locals. Wish I would have asked for help before I googled something close. My lesson learned that cost me $216 for NOTHING!!!BTW ... I made it home that night (praise God) and got my car fixed the next day. You know what fixed it all? Surprisingly it was the engine coolant temperature sensor. What the what?!? ? ? Cost me $275 to get my car working normal (that one part fixed the air too ... so much for that $1100 Hines!). And that mechanic got homemade cookies and big thank yous, all because he listened and fixed my car. ??

I can not begin to express the appreciation we have for all of the employees of Hines Service Center. Everyone is always friendly and super helpful with any needs or questions we have. I do not feel like there is anywhere else that you could get better service. We have had several cars worked on in the past two years and each time has been a great experience when it comes to the services they provided. They also have fast and easy financing through Napa available on their website. I was approved immediately. I was able to use my account before my card arrived in the mail. The Napa credit card also offered 6 months of no interest.

We broke down out of town and these guys were the best. They answered my questions and worked with me. Unfortunately it was time to send our vehicle out to pasture and they were kind in helping us to do this. Great service and honest. If we ever need anything while we are up there again, I will call them.

Had my Saturn for 5 days then tells me it’s a broken timing belt, could cost up to 1300.00 to fix. Had it towed to my house so I can change the timing “chain” I purchased, it not broken and just as tight as it’s supposed to be. 85.00 tow it there, 100.00 for diagnostic, 85.00 tow it home. WTH!!?Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I never leave reviews. If I have a bad experience. I don’t go back. If I have a good experience then I’m a repeat customer. I’m a repeat customer at Hines and they do such a good job and are so honest and fair that I had to leave the only review I’ve ever written.Services: Steering & suspension repair

I will say the manager is a soft spoken man that appears to be kind but why get upset when you know someone needs their car and has to pay you. I am also soft spoken and won't ever yell or cuss and cause a scene but I do want people to know 1. Apparently if your windshield is broken while in their care, they will say they aren't responsible. 2. They have cameras but it doesn't record or the recording isn't held more than a week and they had my cars over 3 weeks. 2. You will pay over a $100 for them diagnose a car that just left their shop (another review says the same thing) 3. Towing is on you even if the car was just picked up from their shop (also stated in another review) 4. You may have to seek legal recourse. I attached pictures below. They removed reviews off Facebook because another customer posted another negative review below mine about their similar experience. The whole story is below. I took a Land Rover and Buick LaCrosse in. Initially impressed because most mechanics won't touch a Land Rover. They replaced an O2 sensor and recharged AC. They couldn't recharge AC but said another place could but they would handle it. I pick the car up and drive off. Notice the windshield was broken so I call immediately and go back. I told him I knew 200% I didn't take it in like that because I was going to trade the car in and sent pictures to a dealership just a week or so before I dropped it off and in the pictures, it did not have a cracked windshield. He said that even if it did happen there, it was like parking at WalMart and they were not responsible. I told him it was not like parking at Walmart, I left it in his care. He said that there were signs posted everywhere that they aren't responsible for damage. The only signs I saw and took pictures of were "not responsible for items left in car". I had left the Buick LaCrosse at the same time for a new transmission so I told him to speak with the owner and find out what could be done about the windshield. When I picked up the Lacrosse I asked what he found out about the windshield because at this point i had spent $1000 on the Land Rover and $2000 on the Lacrosse so surely they could do something. I told him his shop must have insurance because my deductible is $1000 and the windshield is $750 to replace. He said his deductible was $2500 and the owner would not replace and he asked all the guys in the shop snd no one said they did it. (Imagine that) I took the Lacrosse home and it wouldn't start so I had it towed back to them and just like I read in another review "they ran a diagnostic and it was another issue and it would be $400 to replace a hood sensor that was draining the battery." I told them I no longer wanted them repairing anything and I would pick it up. He said "ok then it is $110 for running the diagnostic." I do not cause a scene nor cuss him but at this point I truly want to scream but don't. I pay for the diagnostic and leave. I highly do NOT recommend them. I had the Buick LaCrosse fixed for under $60. If I had not left both cars at the same time, I wouldn't have returned after the cracked windshield. I believe if someone pays you $2000 for a transmission you ran a diagnostic to figure out what was needed that you should say "this is what I found along with needing a transmission." You should also be responsible for a car in your care. I am contemplating small claims for the windshield since I do have proof of it not being broken before AND it is my daughters car and she has been gone since January so the car was just sitting without being driven except to Hines Service Center.

Wasn’t ready when they said it would be. Guy working behind counter is a bold faced liar. Told me they looked at my tire which had 12lb of air when I left after I sat around waiting for an hour because they overextended their abilities and didn’t call me to tell me my truck wasn’t ready. Yeah not a great experience at all. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else to this place after today. Also, after reading other reviews and seeing how other customers have been dealt with, I get this vibe where they like to shift the blame back on the customer or they just have a list of excuses instead of doing what they should or could have. Definitely won’t be going backServices: Electrical repair

Conning disabled vets!?One day, my husband's truck simply didn't start. It wasn't one of the usual, easy-to-fix problems. So we tried Hines for the very first time, because they'll tow the truck to their service center for $65. Husband goes back for his truck (new fuel pump) after a week and $800. In their very parking lot it doesn't start. The tech waves it off--"Oh somebody left the door open, I'll jump it." Nick drives it home after a jump, and then it never starts again (can't even be jumped, new battery and all). So we called them (still the same day we picked it up) and say "Hey man, this truck we paid you $800 to fix won't even start still" and they apologize. "We'll tow it back, it's on us," they said. A half a week later, after we called and texted multiple times with no answer, they tell Nick it's 'coincidentally' a NEW issue, but, I quote, "It's a $10 fix". When they're finally done with it... "That'll be $160." They decided to charge us with the tow, because they say the new coincidental $10 problem was not something they caused. And of course they need to charge $50 for a $10 fix. After we already paid them nearly $800? I politely explained my complaint. I told them they never should have sent my husband home with a truck that still wasn't starting. Dude had the AUDACITY to say that my mentally disabled veteran husband "shouldn't have CHOSEN to drive it away". They brought the price down to $110 as a courtesy, but obviously, these are not the kind of trustworthy and respectable mechanics you'll want to visit.

This one is a 2003 Ford F-150 with 272000 miles, I can’t afford a new truck but with the guys ( and gals ) at Hines I will be keeping this running for a long time. They warranty the repairs and are easy to work with, I recommend them over any other shop in the local area and I have been here since 1988. The green monster (2001 Ford Excursion) has 203000 or so miles on it Hines helps me keep it going. My spouse’s 2014 Buick has 72k on it and they keep it running great. Hines is a shop you can trust for repairs ,I have for almost 20 years.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Preformed the work quickly and allowed me to request a last minute repair on top of the current need and the price was fair. The large majority of the cost was just the price of the parts. No over charging for labor or fees. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a fair shake.Service: General repairs & maintenance
