“First off, Dale and Sarah are the best! They’re both incredibly accommodating and made us feel right at home. We stayed for six days, and the cabins were perfect — spotless, comfortable, and offering a stunning view of Bull Shoals Lake.
Every morning we enjoyed watching wildlife right outside the big picture window — chipmunks racing around, squirrels playing, and deer passing by daily. The beds were super comfortable, and Sarah even irons the sheets!
We brought our own pontoon boat, and their dock setup was ideal. Dale kept the dock adjusted perfectly as the lake level changed, making getting on and off the docks a breeze. The property also has cameras, so we felt very secure throughout our stay.
We decided to rent the golf cart for the week, and it was absolutely worth it — super convenient and fun. The prices were great, too.
We highly recommend this resort if you’re in the area — you won’t be disappointed!”
“We stayed here while visiting friends. I cannot rave about this place enough. The owners are very friendly and welcome you into their home. Our friends live just down the road from them. Making the location ideal for us, but they are close to town for restaurants or stores. You will get a homemade breakfast every morning, they were kind enough to also invite our friends over so we could have breakfast together. Plenty of personal space with comfortable beds and couch to relax on while in your room.
Thank you Rhonda and Duane, see you next year! The Duddles - Gorge Fly Shop Hood River Oregon”

“Belated review of a couple’s weekend stay last summer to float the Buffalo. The room was recently remodeled and tastefully decorated. The a/c was cold. Room included a mini fridge for drinks and snacks. We were within walking distance to a couple of restaurants, the Dollar General, and downtown. We enjoyed the view from the pool. We stayed based on another reviewer stating this is a “hidden gem,” and it really is!”

“Room was very clean. The guy that checked me in was nice. He even offered me something a bagel before I even finished checking in. His wife was respectable and she was always smiling.”
“Amazing. This jewel of a hotel would stand out in the middle of NYC and does so even more in the quiet and peaceful Arkansas Ozarks. It is simultaneously the oldest building in Cotter while also the one with the most modern furnishings. Elegant fixtures seamlessly flow together with century-old hardwood to make it feel like you are living in the roaring 20s while enjoying today's luxuries. All this for a price lower than several of the nearby chain hotels. 100% recommend, seven stars if I could rate it that high.”
