Inconvenient. Stopped to get fast cash... atm said too large...after a few tries and checking my balance. I went to the window where Stephanie informed me that the atm was out of money. I asked why did they not put a sign. she said cuz ppl can still check their balance. Seriously!!! Then put that on the sign!!!!!! Made for a good morning to get stressful.

They'll hit you with as many overdraft fees as possible when given the chance. Join a credit union instead.

For Christmas I signed over a check made out to me from a well established 30 plus year old business in russellville to my fiancé so she could buy family Christmas gifts. Having studied this procedure in negotiable instrument law in law school it’s a common practice and completely legal. She is a third generation and life long resident of Dardanelle and her family has been in politics both in Dardanelle and yell county and at the national level for decades. She grew up a couple of blocks from the bank and has banked there her entire life. She took the check to the bank to deposit and was told by an incompetent teller that she could not legally deposit the check because I didn’t have an account there which is wrong under the law. I could not deposit the check in my account after I signed it over to her. I was forced to take the check back to the merchant that wrote it to me and exchange it for a new check made out in my fiancé’s name. We went together to the drive thru to deposit the check. After waiting several minutes the teller came back and spoke to my fiancé’ by her first name rather than showing respect for her and using her well known last name and rudely asked where she got the check and why the business gave her the money. I was forced to explain despite the fact that the source of the check was printed on top of the check and why it was given to me in the first place. My fiancé was treated like a thief and our rights to privacy were violated. I called the branch manager and informed him of what had occurred and that I expected an apology by the person responsible and left my number for a call back identifying myself and that I’m my fiancé’s lawyer. Thirty minutes later my fiancé gets a call on her number which was not given as a call back number and was told that they could not speak to me directly which is also illegal after being put on notice of my representation and continued to speak to my client directly rather than through me. The excuse given was that what occurred was because of an uptick in bank fraud which is also a complete lie. Having been in the criminal defense practice for over 31 years in yell county I’m in criminal court regularly and there has been no uptick. The caller also informed my fiancé that there would be a hold put on her funds preventing her from buying Christmas presents for her entire family. Compounding the insult my fiancé’s cousin was an officer of this bank for many years and she has never been in legal trouble in her life. This is how this bank treats well know multi generational long term customers. The account will be closed next week and moved to Chambers bank where Hedi and Philip Gray will take great care of my loved one.
