Love this place. The walk down to it is very steep so you need to be fit and wear good shoes. The cave is about 60 degrees which is great during the summer. The people are friendly and nice. They have a friendly cat that doesn't mind petting. You use Bluetooth headphones to play they tour info and walk through yourself. Would highly recommend.

This is a self guided tour. They provided headphones that gave you all the information about the cave. They wiped all the phones down as we gave them back. The floor was as even as a cave floor can be. So if you have trouble walking or are worried about the floor, this cave would be perfect for you. There is one spot where you gotta duck down to get through but it’s not very long. Prices were reasonable and the staff was very nice.

My husband was looking for some adventure on our mini vacation and we came across Onyx cave as an option. I had no idea what to expect but I am always up for an adventure! When you arrive, you go down a couple of large ramps and enter into a gift shop. You then pay, it was a little steep for what it is, but we were on vacay and didn't care. We were then asked to wait because they space everyone out. The wait wasn't too long and then we were handed headsets and sent on our way. The cave itself was SO cool. I just loved it. The reason for only three stars is that I could not stand the voice and content of the man talking on the website. I literally had to take it off because it was bothering me that much. I would have preferred a live guide, and for that price I don't see why not. Or just update the voice guide to be more modern.

This is our favorite cave in the area; it is on the small side - but the tour-guides in the bigger caves are too loquacious. This self-guided tour is such a relaxing experience. Plus we saw a tiny bat on the wall! Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this cave! There is a self-guided audio tour that lasts about 20 minutes (they space groups out every four or five minutes so you aren't crammed together). The audio tour was really well done and interesting, and when it's finished you're free to walk around as long as you'd like. The cave isn't nearly as big as some of the others I've been to, but having the opportunity to take our time instead of being huddled together in a large group was great. They also have a large gift shop with lots of items.Be prepared that the ramps to and from the cave are *steep*!

We enjoyed our visit. At first we thought maybe it wasn’t open, it was November and a weekday, but we walked down and were welcomed immediately upon walking in. It was nice to have the headphones to hear the history of the cave as well as about caves in general.Cute little gift shop and I saw other spaces/areas that are probably open in the summertime. It is a walk in and back out on the same pathway so with lots of visitors it could be a little crowded.

We loved this place! It was my first time in a cave and it was awesome. They have headphones u put on and gives u a guided tour with lots of interesting historical facts. Then they have a place where u buy a bag with dirt and gems and u can “pan” for treasure. Bags are priced per size we got the ‘MotherLoad’ $35 and split it as advised by a couple that was leaving as we arrived and so glad we did. Totally worth it and when we bought bag we got $4 off admission.

Neat little cave spot. It was Fairly inexpensive, staff was friendly, nice and helpful. The Gift shop has a lot of interesting items which seemed to be reasonably priced. Me and my son went here and had a great time.I Really liked that they used a headset with a recorded tour guide on it. Over all had a good time here and would recommend checking this place out.

Onyx Cave is a popular place to visit in Eureka Springs. Add this stop to your list! Budget friendly and very informative. Headsets were wiped down after each use. We went during the weekend day and the wait wasn't too long. There is plenty to see in the gift shop...make sure to take a look!

The Onyx Cave self guided tour was excellent. The cave route isn't long but the headphones explained everything we saw. The gift shop prices were reasonable. The trail was damp but there were guard rails all along it. There are some steps to enter the cave but the walk was easy even for seniors or children.

This would be a 5-star review except for one thing. The audio-guided tour (narration) is confusing as hell. Very disappointing. This would be easy to fix. Put signs up around the cave to mark key points along the audio tour. When the narrator says “fireplace” I would recognize if I am in the right part of the cave. Instead, I realize after the fact that I’m 3 sections ahead of the audio tour. Uggh. I shared the sign idea with the manager, and she said “it’s on the list.” Literally, that confusing audio tour turned a nice stroll through a beautiful cave into an incredibly frustrating experience. Gift shop is nice. Lots of jewelry and gifts for children. Staff is friendly and helpful. Final thought: signage in the parking lot would make us feel more certain of where we are and where we’re going. There is one sign. “Entrance” lol

Nice place, reasonable priced, when bringing young children keep a grip on them, some of the gates in the cave at the bottom a little one could easily slide under. All that is needed is to put some concrete anchors in bottom for a place to attach bottom of safety fence to so they can't push through. Staff was nice.

Really great self guided tour! They give you headphones that tell you about the tour that you listen to at certain points! Great family experience! Will definitely return!

It was a fun trip into a smaller cavern. With a group of friends it can be a fun adventure! The geological formations were beautiful, but the tour left me feeling lacking. It cost roughly $26 for two people to get into the cave and you were required to wear a headset that had an audio recording of the guide. It felt impersonal. The tour was around 30 minutes, and the gift shop was interesting. If you have some time in the area I would definitely say it is worth the trip!
