When Bank of Fayetteville was bought out, things went downhill. Now, years later, this bank is a disaster. Touting itself as a small town bank is its truth, but in BofF's case, "small town" means more short sighted and inflexible. Sure, it is super easy to deposit your money, but if you want to take it out, there are hurdles to jump and fees to pay. If you want information, don't go to a branch and don't try calling - you'll have to go the the main branch on the square, pay to park, and hope you get answers. Good luck. As for their website, it is clunky and certainly doesn't make banking easier. Do yourself a favor and find a friendlier bank. Bank of Fayetteville is set in its "old ways" and can't see they are headed for a nursing home.

Manager sends 3 am texts on holiday. Takes every opportunity to sabotage bank. Bank tellers are made into full accountants instead.

This bank has excellent staff. Alan at the main office was so timely and meticulous about helping me get paperwork together for my home loan. When my wallet was stolen last year, the manager at the college branch walked me through the process of getting a new account established and changing all of my auto drafts. And when someone later tried to use my stolen driver's license to withdraw funds from my account the branch worker at the East location immediately recognized the problem. The bad guys drove off, but at least they got my license back to the police and kept my account secure. I highly recommend this bank.

Leslie Ferguson at the College Branch is a God send. She is always extremely helpful and remembers my name. She always brings a smile to my face. This woman deserves a raise. It's beyond me why she isn't the branch manager. That one guy just walks around doing nothing and drinking coffee.

After being a customer at BOF for 14 years, I was treated like a piece of junk mail when I had an issue with my account. Customer service consisted of arguing minor details with me, and explaining to me why $214 in fees on $103 in transactions in a 24 hour period was appropriate and what I agreed too. Sad that this business spends lots of money on advertising, but zero on trying to maintain long standing customers. When I asked to speak to someone else in the bank, Amanda took my email, and told me they would be in touch; and I never heard from anyone. I would not recommend this bank to my enemies. Lots of other banks are happy to offer you money management, without hidden fees and rude service. This place has gone downhill since the buyout.

Nancy has been an incredible contact for our accounts, as well as other family members. She is a joy to work with, no matter the process.

A staple in Fayetteville banking. Neat old building worth checking out whether banking or not. Awesome belt driven ceiling fans from a different time.

I used to love this bank. I have been banking here since it was founded. The service at the main branch is still good, but that is not true of the Crossover branch. The excellent former manager left when BOF was sold to F and M bank, and the current bank officers at the Crossover branch seems inept and indifferent. I don't expect adulation when I have bank business, but some courtesy and tech skills would certainly be appreciated.

Best bank in town. We've been with them since they opened. When you call them, a person answers the phone and directs the call. It is so nice not to have a recording and have to push button 1, 2, 3, etc. for various departments. There are plenty of convenient locations, and they have enough tellers so that there are no long lines. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with any question. Always my bank.
