1. The atmosphere is awesome and the people are cool2. The staff has always been really nice and happily spot me if I ask3. The equipment is top notch and the upkeep is great. You can tell the people inspect the equipment and see if it’s good

I really did not want to have to write this review… I was a member at Ozark for 3 years. I am rating this gym 1 star. I am taking the average of two categories to derive this rating. 1. The gym and 2. The Management. The gym gets 4 stars, and the management gets -2 stars. I took the average to get a 1-star total. The gym is cool and has everything you would ever need. I have enjoyed working out here for the past 3 years. I began my membership here because I wanted to support a small business. I could have easily taken my money and joined another gym for about ¼ of the monthly membership cost but then again, I wanted to support a veteran owned small business. Unfortunately, the sunshine and rainbows end there. The management at this gym heavily lacks professionalism and business ethics. You would think a veteran owned business would prioritize these qualities but that unfortunately is not the case here. You can see the lack of professionalism and respect in the Google Review responses from the owner as well as many of the Instagram posts. If you’re not a member of the small powerlifting circle at this gym, you can kiss all respect and kindness goodbye. My last straw with this gym stemmed from my latest incident. Long story short, I was charged a $15 late penalty for an error that was beyond my scope of control and occurred on Ozark’s end. I have all of the proving transactions through my CC. When Ozark changed billing software’s, my payment info was switched to an old card of mine that expired. It was not the card on file prior to the software change. I called Ozark and after some investigating, I was informed that it was a late penalty for my card getting declined (due to an OLD card that hadn’t been on file prior to the software change.) To my surprise, I was told that they could not do anything about it nor offer me a $15 credit for the following month. They did mention it is a fee charged to them by the billing software agency and they do not collect the fee charged, but I’d expect them to make it right and at least offer me a credit since it was beyond my scope of control. Now, I am being charged $15 from Ozark due to an error on their end and beyond my personal control. Personally, it’s not a money issue but more so a matter of business ethics and principle. I contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this transaction. This must’ve made Will (the owner) very upset because this resulted in him cancelling my membership altogether. It is comical that they receive a complaint, then cancel a customer’s membership, especially after 3 years. No big deal though, I would rather give my money to a business that respects their clients.A business’s customer base is their single most important aspect of their business. A successful business shows respect and tries to work out solutions with their customers. Unfortunately for Ozark, this is far from the truth. With Crunch being so close, one would expect them to keep their customers happy. With many new gyms coming to the area (The Forum Barbell in early 2024), Ozark will be a small fish in a big ocean. They need to get their act together if they want to stay in business. I know I am not the only one that shares the same complaints. If you’re a college student, I would advise looking elsewhere. I am sure the owner will leave some arrogant and smart aleck response, but to each their own.

If you find yourself in Fayetteville Arkansas and you gotta get your gains going or sweat through your sets Ozark Iron is a great choice. Low drop in rate of 10 bucks and all the equipment you need.

In almost 30 years of working out i've never been in a gym this good. The free weights in here are unmatched by anything i've ever seen before. I don't even know how many bench presses and power racks there are but probably 15 or more of each. Lifting platforms in the back and dumbbells up to 150 lbs. There are more free weight pieces of equipment in here than most commercial chains have across their entire nationwide gym chains combined. As with any quality gym there is a board with members lift records. Wish I lived here to be able to train at this gym more often.

Awesome only one bike but never had to wait to use it! All of the equipment none of the crowd! Everyone is there working out so you don't have to wait on some youngsters phone to go dead before a bench is opens up! Plus only gym in nwa to have the nautilus lat pull over! It may be hammer strength but works same!

I had the pleasure of visiting this gym while traveling for work. Im able to visit many different gyms on my travels and I can happily say ; I was lucky to have found Ozark Iron. This isn't your LA, Crunch, or Esporta, and I'm sure that's the way the owner and members like it.Ozark Iron is successfully keeping alive that old school appeal that has been lost in recent times. Though, I have to say, it is not old school in the sense the equipment is old and rusty and the owner doesn't want to put any money into it, so the gym just claims "old school". No, Ozark Iron has all the appeal and the equipment to match: all the deadlift platforms, squat racks, cables, free weights, machines, and open space you would need to get in a great work out.Additionally, i can happily say: this is not the place where you have to worry about Addison and Tristen side eyeing you like you just knocked over their starbucks non fat extra froth latte "pre work out" because you grunted mid set and your tomato-red head looks likes it gonna pop off bc your actually putting in some work.- throw a scoop of RYSE in there Tristen and join the party. No, This feels like a place that respects the grind and welcomes the struggle. From PR's written on the walls in chalk, soon to be erased and re-written I'm sure, to chalk hand prints 10ft up the wall(BTW Ozark who TF u got there jumping that high lol) to the friendly and inviting staff( I was there on a Tuesday night for the lady and gentleman that were very kind and excited about where they worked)- This gym screams pride in the progress. No frills, just what u need to get gritty. So if your in the area, I suggest you give this place a visit, put in some work, and start writting your name up on that wall.Great gym, great experience. Thank you staff, and thank you Ozark Iron. I will be back.

I supported this gym since I first moved to NWA, recommended it to everyone who was looking for a great place to workout and even posted it on my social media accounts. I had nothing but incredible experiences with the staff and all of the members, then one day I came in to workout after having been gone for months and found out I was banned.I was extremely embarrassed, but I am a small time celebrity in some circles, and I have stalkers who have gone to businesses before and have made complaints about me, so I politely left and asked for the owner to contact me so I could resolve the issue. The complaint stated that I had been harassing women, which never happened. Again, I hadn’t even been there for months prior to the complaint, so I assumed it was just a simple misunderstanding.Since then I have reached out to try to resolve the issue again and I have been refused.I understand that a private business has every right to refuse service, so I’m not upset at all by their decision to keep me out. What I am saddened by is the complete lack of professional courtesy. I am a combat veteran and a father who believes in direct communication. My intent in writing this review is not to ruin anyone’s business, but rather to let other people that are considering going here know how disrespectfully and poorly conflict is handled in this gym.Conflict is commonplace in gyms like this and I hope that it is handled better in the future.

Is it the absolute best bodybuilding gym I’ve ever been to? No, but it’s clean, well maintained, reasonably priced, and the staff is polite. They have a pretty good selection of your standard classic machines and also some fancy ones. I’d definitely go back.

This place is the “only” gym I would and could give 5 stars. I travel a lot and hit gyms all over the country. Great equipment great staff and atmosphere. Iron and sweat, easy to stay motivated in this gym.

Overall pretty good first experience. They were having trouble with their computer system though which cause a wait of 20+ mins. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, but still a great gym

Great gym, great atmosphere. However, called multiple times weeks prior to try and cancel a month to month membership and never got an answer. Called the day I was billed, still no answer. I then canceled in person and was told there was no missed calls so I showed the gentleman at the front desk the calls I had made in my call log. Called again two days later to see if they would refund me and was told they could do absolutely nothing about it. Never was able to speak to the person in charge.
