Every time I come in to PAH to shop, which is at least once a week, I find so many treasures!!! The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The place is clean and organized, making it peaceful to shop and easy to spend money. The prices are crazy good and makes it even more fun; trying new and unique things because it’s worth a shot! I love this shop and everything it offers. I love donating to the mission and enjoy supporting it. Stop by, you WONT regret it!

Decent little place. Very similar to a Goodwill type of place, but much better because of how it directly supports the local community.I did think it was odd how drastically different the pricing on things were. Most items were $1 - $10. But there would randomly be photos mixed in for $100+. I’m not sure why that is.

Check out this book of Norwegian Folk Tales from Peace at Home. One employee thought the cat was playing with the sheep’s brain. Actually it’s wool, but the cat threatens to claw the sheep’s eyeballs. We all agreed it would make a great tattoo, and there are more pictures inside. I also got some nice pants, shirt and a sweater all for $19. ? of profits go to charity ❤️ and the employees are all super sweet.

This review is about the shelter, not the thrift store. The idea of the shelter is great especially if you are abused, in need of a safe place to be and food to eat. But everything else they claim to do is a fantasy. They kick more people out than they actually fulfill their obligations to. So if you are desperate, you might want to try it temporarily, but you might want to make your exit strategy as soon as you get there because frankly, they claim to advocate for the abused but they abuse them too. In a way they are just as bad as the abuser, but then you can see him coming and expect it.These people just build your hopes and kill them in the same day.

Found a couple great finds! Actually pretty organized, and GREAT customer service. I was just in there for about an hour (probably even less) and SOOOO many regulars came in so that's how you know it's great.

They have hippest plus size clothes. I bought a plus size ladies leather coat for $10.00!It is well organized, clean and if you go there specifically looking for things such as kitchen utensils, coffee makers, shoes, fiction books, etc they will be placed in the most likely place and you won’t have to waste a lot of time trying to find it.It is also a great place to buy high price books that you couldn’t readily afford at book stores. It’s in the same parking lot as the Dollar General store.

Probably a great cause, but I found it difficult to donate; had to go around back, which was hard enough, and the alley was blocked so I carried my donations up to the back door and rang a bell but no one came. Lots of unfriendly signage about donations. So I loaded everything back up and drove to the Goodwill Donation Express where I pulled up to the drive through a friendly enough gentleman unloaded my car.

Found a couple of t shirts and only spent $5! They get a lot of the donations from the u of a students due to the close location on Garland so there's always a great selection! Bring in your donations and help the local women's shelter!
