Not sure what it's normally like, but I tried to go last weekend and had to wait in line outside. Did the covid temp check and ID but then I had to wait in another line to get to the back (which I never did because we left). While in line, I could hear music in the back and I saw people with drinks, but nobody ever came by to see if we (people in line) wanted to order something. The lack of service was crazy. You'd think they'd want to sell a few drinks to everyone of age who walked in the door.

Generally overcrowded, overly loud in the front stage (and when I say overly loud, I mean borderline ear damaging loud) at times, and frequent need to go to the bar itself to get a drink. However, this place has character and local flare and the music venues are generally good. The better the band, the more drunks bumping into you, but this is true for a lot of live music atmospheres.

Love this place. Great place to see an awesome band. My husband has seen Lamb of God here as well as Phil Anselmo. Plus my husbands band has played here. The staff are super nice and the layout of the place is great. We plan on seeing Tesla Sevendust here in August. I can't wait.

I think it's undisputed that Old Main is the most iconic landmark in Fayetteville. If we were to come up with a runner-up icon, however, George's would have to be it. George's has been open for almost a century, and after spending some time there, you'll find out why it has withstood the test of time. George's is known for hosting stunning musical acts. George's has a mixture of big names and lesser knowns, but as far as the state of Arkansas goes, George's has the most consistent quality lineup in the state. You'll find an 80's cover band one night followed by a Red Dirt country icon the next. George's will host big stars before they become big, big stars once they have become big, and regional legends. Good acts keep coming back to George's because of the atmosphere and how well-run the place is. I cannot say enough good things about the bar staff. They make you feel like family. Granted, on their especially busy nights, you're not going to get to chat, but they'll still take care of you. You have to go to a happy hour on Friday night. It's a who's who of longtime Northwest Arkansas residents when was a fun but laid-back vibe. If you want to be a true Fayetteville local, you have to stop by George's.

I went tonight to see an old friend. First of all, there is nowhere to sit unless you pay an additional $25 and that's only IF you are the first one to buy your tickets. Try standing for 3 hours with drunks bumping into you all night. So, a nice couple finally gave me a seat at their table. Then, the waitress refused to bring me a hot coffee, which would have brought her a hefty tip since I don't drink alcohol, she said, "Oh. We don't have coffee here." (A bar that doesn't have hot coffee???) As I said, I was there to see a friend, not to get drunk. Mind you, my ticket to get in the door was $22! Later, I went back to the bar by the front door where someone told me I COULD get coffee. When I very kindly asked the tall angry guy in a long grey ponytail, he copped an attitude that I couldn't even believe! He threw the bar towel down and went in the back. He came back with a steaming hot coffee and set it down harshly on the bar. I thanked him. He glared at me like he hated my guts. Then, God forbid, I asked if he had any creamer. His attitude got exponentially worse as he went to the back again. He returned slammed the powdered creamer on the bar and quipped, "That's all we got!" I thanked him again and he refused to respond, just glared at me like he could kill me. I paid for my coffee and put a tip in the jar but I now wished I hadn't. I left this place tonight feeling somehow violated for asking for hot coffee (paying and tipping) simply because I don't drink and it was 23* outside tonight. I have lived in many places, including Europe, and I have never in my life: 1) seen a bar that doesn't serve hot coffee, and 2) been treated so ugly for asking for a cup. I do not recommend this establishment at all. The staff is so incredibly rude and hateful, I can't explain without cursing so... James, Daren, Cornbread, and Tim, you still rock the rafters! Your music is incredible!

My parents went there in the 30s and 40s, I went there in the 60s and 70s. My children went there in the 2000s. It has changed a lot it is a lot bigger and a lot louder, but it still there it’s still a fun place to go. A Fayetteville institution.

What will get me to drive to Fayetteville, AR on a Wednesday night? Why, Jenny Lewis and The Cactus Blossoms in a tiny venue will. George's turned out to be a fabulous place to catch a show! The back room is not too big, not too small, and if you prefer to sit instead of stand, you can reserve seating in advance! As for me, I opted for GA and landed a pretty good spot near the front. The sound, lights, and overall show could not have been better. Jenny was in fine form with "Portions for Foxes," "The Next Messiah," "Aloha and the 3 Johns," new songs, and more. I really and truly could not have asked for a better venue to catch one of my favorite singers. There are 2 bars, one in the front, other in the concert hall. If you open a tab, you can use it at both bars. Very handy for when you want a mid-show refill. The prices were perfect: 2 well g&t's and a beer only set me back $13 before tip. The staff were very friendly, and between the great music and cheap drinks, George's was truly majestic indeed.

"She ain't fancy, but she gets the job done." Is a phrase that describes George's. Very inexpensive night out and the varied talent offers up something for just about everybody. Great hospitality, reasonably close parking, very reasonably priced drinks. Wish I lived about 400 miles closer.

I would not recommend going here. While prices may be posted as $10 online, they may try to charge more. I went on a Thursday night with a friend to a band that had tickets posted for $10 online. Upon arrival, the bouncer (who was a small guy wearing plaid shorts...not your typical bouncer) told us the tickets were $15. When my friend and I politely asked about the price difference, the guy rudely just said, "I don't know what to tell you. It's $15. Do you want in or not?" After paying $10 more than planned for the both of us, we went in. The music was good and the place wasn't too crowded. That being said, with the 30ish people that were in there, there still was not enough seating for any decent amount of people. Irritated with already spending more money, I asked for a cup of water at the bar to find they only have bottles of water for $2 each. All in all, they have good music, but that's about it. I would suggest trying a different venue in the area.

Great place to see live music! Beer was a little expensive and you have to purchase water. Bathrooms needed a little attention but definitely a fun place!

I went to George's with friends and I was the DD. At the end of the night, after we gave them lots of money for the alcohol my friends were drinking, I tried to get my friends water and apparently they are not allowed to give people tap water. Pretty ridiculous to not have water for people. There are many countries and states that have laws in place requiring establishments to provide water if they sell alcohol. I'm not asking for a law just common curtesy. I'll spend my money somewhere else and take my friends.

I grew up in Fayetteville so Georges's has always been a part of my life. Darren Ray, a local staple of the music community, is a frequent act at the lounge. He was diagnosed with stage four cancer and is struggling to continue his career while in treatment. Not only is George's hosting a benefit event for Darren but they provided financial support. They ARE the community bar and deserve your patronage.

I hit George's when I am in town for football games. It's a great places to get a drink and listen to music. They have two stages. One on the front and another (main act) in the back. Your cover charge gets you access to both bands. For the bigger acts (main acts in the back), you can reserve a table. Without a reservation, you are basically standing to enjoy the music. Drink prices are reasonable and bands I have seen there have been very good. Highly recommend this place it you want good drinks at a good price, and want to enjoy some live music.
