Old hotel with hardly any updates. Dirty but was probably a nice place in the nineties so the owners think it's okay to overprice and under deliver.

One of the better best westerns and one of the better hotels in the area. I do work in Fort Smith semi-frequently, and have been to several other hotels in the area. I think that this hotel will be my primary go-to. It is the second time I've stayed here and everything has been consistently great.

Even though I reserved the wrong dates, they were able to give us a room. Staff is friendly, the place was very clean and their breakfast was great.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, ENERGY OR MONEY at Best Western Aspen Hotel!! It was a very disappointing experience for me. Upon arrival we were told that we would not be getting the room styles that we had previously booked/requested and there were no other room options available. We were eventually given a room matching our initial request. The room that we did not request or require was NOT canceled at that time. While checking out from the hotel, four days later, we were informed that we were being charged for a room that we did not ask for, want or ever check into. And that there was nothing the hotel could or would do to fix THEIR mistake. The staff member that we dealt with to check out (who claimed to be a manager) offered no solutions or empathy, was very rude (mumbling under breath as we asked questions for clarification) and was NOT helpful in any way.My family feels that we were OVERCHARGED, essentially ROBBED because we were given no options to get our money back for the unused room. At anytime during our 4 day stay and the dozens of times we passed the front desk we could/should have been informed of an additional room on our account that no one had checked into. This experience left us with a terrible ending to an otherwise great weekend visiting family in Fort Smith.

I had a wonderful experience at Best Western. The breakfast was great! They even have a yogurt machine and a bunch of yummy toppings. The rooms were clean and very updated. The pool was open and had enough room for family to hang out by the pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful! I would 10/10 recommend.Rooms: The rooms are nice. very updatedNearby activities: Areas in downtown fort smith with attractions and museumsSafety: The hotel is in a safe part of townFood & drinks: Restaurants all over town some even in walking distance which was really convenient

We had reserved a room for 2 nights for Father’s Day weekend. We had reserved a king suite with whirlpool. When we got there, they had sold our room out from under us. We had traveled for 2.5 hours to get to Fort Smith. They offered us lodging at their sister hotel. We were assured that even though they didn’t have a whirlpool in the room that they did have jetted tubs. We drove to the sister property which was only about 2 minutes away. When we tried to check in we were informed that they didn’t have jetted tubs. She said she’d told the other property that less than 5 minutes before our arrival so the aspen lied to us. She also informed us that the aspen had removed the whirlpools out of their rooms so they had sold us a room at an incredible rate hike that said we had a whirlpool. I do not advise anyone to stay at this property. We drove a great distance & had to backtrack 30 minutes to find lodging.Rooms: Do not trust the whirlpool suites! They do not exist!!!

Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. The only issue was breakfast. Bacon was cold, and they had gravy out bust no biscuits for the gravy, just Bacon and eggs.Nearby activities: Near airport and lots of restaurant options.

We made a reservation with booking.com. We drove 2.5 hours to get here & The Aspen had already given our room away!! I'm not sure who's fault it is but this was unacceptable! We were offered a lower quality room at a sister hotel that is lower quality. I'm very angry!!!

Absolutely the worst experience I've EVER had. We reserved our rooms 10 days in advance with a request for first floor. Upon our arrival we were told they didn't have any rooms available on first floor as my dad is speaking with my mom the rude employee Kendall tells my dad she didn't take our reservation. I ask why is she responding to my dad, she says he keeps going mind you he's speaking with my mom!.she then calls her manager telling him we're being rude and asking him if she could cancel our reservations, of course he told her no. Mind you we have a funeral.come to find out they don't have any rooms available on the first floor due to remodeling, which is all they had to say when we made our reservations. Also during our stay they ran out of food multiple times and they never even tried to replace the food, . Kendall worked everyday of our stay and didn't acknowledge us until Saturday the day before checkout Finally during our 5 day stay they never cleaned our room even upon request! I've been coming to Fort Smith every year since I was 10 years old , and I've never experienced such I don't give a $%@÷ attitude. We will continue to visit the home of my grandmother and never stay there again!

I was so disappointed bc I’ve never had such a disappointing stay at a Best Western before. My room had bedbugs and the front desk said they would tell the manager bc he wasn’t available. I asked about switching rooms and that wasn’t available either. The breakfast was very slim and when I asked for butter I was told I would have to make do with what they had which wasn’t much at all. The smoke detector was missing and there was wiring just hanging out of the ceiling where is was supposed to be. Very rude front desk clerk and not helpful at all.Rooms: Bedbugs
