About Chaffee Barbershop Museum
The Chaffee Barbershop Museum is the exact 1950s-era barbershop where Elvis Presley received his iconic military haircut in 1958. Visitors from all over the world come to see this piece of Elvis history, with the barber's station still marked. The site also houses the Museum of Chaffee History, featuring fascinating photos, artifacts, and memorabilia documenting the 70-year history of Fort Chaffee. Displays cover its use as a base for German prisoners of war, Cuban refugees, and relocated Vietnamese citizens. The small, well-designed space packs a lot of interesting stuff, offering a neat look into Chaffee's past. Staff are accommodating and share a passion for preserving and sharing this history. It is a highly recommended stop.

Excellent memorabilia of both Elvis and military of the base. It was fun to see the exact barbershop where Elvis got his military haircut in 1958. The barber who cut his hair still has his name posted at his station.
