I am not someone who usually complains or writes bad reviews, but my experience at Fantastic Sam’s was so upsetting that I feel I need to warn others. This haircut was extremely emotional for me. After my husband passed away, I made the mistake of cutting my hair very short, and it took me three years to grow it back to where I wanted. I was very clear with the stylist that I only wanted a trim and to keep as much length as possible. I even showed pictures to make sure there was no misunderstanding.
The stylist seemed young and inexperienced but chose to take on the haircut instead of asking for help. She cut my hair dry, continuously pulling up sections and snipping little pieces. When she finished, I was devastated to see that she had cut off at least five inches—far more than I had ever agreed to. It’s now uneven and much shorter than I asked for.
To make matters worse, when I expressed my frustration, another stylist accused me of lying, claiming she didn’t see long pieces of hair on the floor. Of course, she didn’t—because the stylist had cut my hair in tiny sections instead of making one big chop. That doesn’t change the fact that my hair is now ruined.
This haircut has had a huge impact on my self-esteem, especially after losing over 50 pounds in the past year. I put my hair up for work every day, and now it’s too short to style the way I need. If the stylist wasn’t confident in what I asked for, she should have let someone else do it instead of taking on something she couldn’t handle.
I have already filed a complaint with the owner, but I would strongly advise others to go somewhere else if they want a stylist who will actually listen to them.

I always get an appointment when I need in, but they do walk-ins as well. Amanda has done a great job with my hair each time. She's very fast, but also attentive and does what I want. I'm very happy with the service!
