I’m not from Garfield was just passing through. Didn’t know what time they closed and if I would’ve known they closed at eight I wouldn’t have stopped but I didn’t so I stopped. It was 7:55. As soon as me and my four daughters walked through the front door the orange haired young man working the register said with a very loud voice three minutes till the door is closed. My daughters asked for the bathroom key and he said just go it’s open. Like I said long drive we were just passing through And only stopped for a drink and to use the bathroom then the girls use the bathroom and I walked around the store and did a lap while I was waiting for them to come out of the bathroom. The girls came out and then ran to me as he continued the entire time they were in the bathroom to yell across the entire store a countdown of each minute it got closer to time to close When 8 o’clock struck. He walked all the way across the store while talking very loud and very sternly saying it’s 8 o’clock ma’am stores closed, waving his arms like he was waving us out of the store in a very rude tone. I felt extremely disrespected in front of my children, and I felt like it was extremely rude of him. He could’ve just been nice and simply said it one time, but he had to follow us around and continue to harass the entire time. Total jerk will never return.

Staying near town and we made a few stops at this location on our trip. Nice staff. Had what we needed during our stay. Google Maps directions will take you to the back of the store though. Not the front. So those directions aren’t the best.

Our car had just broke down so we were on foot, my fiance said we will just have to borrow a cart. We weren't going to say it tho expected a no. The cashier ended up being so nice tho he asked her if we could and she said no problem. Then recommended we get the app for coupons and pointed out the $5 coupon to help us out

We just moved to Garfield late last year. This has become our goto store. I have always found Dollar General staff to be very friendly and helpful but somehow this store seems a step above. Great hometown convenience.
