Products are small for the price compared to Walmart or Target. Some of these stores make millions per year but don't give employees more than minimum wage with no benefits.

Stopped at check out and asked prices on Gatorade that was sitting outside on a flat cart, Gatorade was on a cardboard flat and wrapped, advertised as being $5.00. I wanted to double check this. I asked the cashier. He called the manager up front. I asked the manager what the price was on them and he stated that they were $5.00 for a 6 pk. The advertised sign said $5.00. I then proceeded to tell him that they needed to change it because that was false advertising. He then stated that was Pepsis problem for placing them on the rack like that and not his. He proceeded to tell me that I was insane to think that they would sell Gatorade for $5.00. I then asked for corporates number and he stated that it would do no good to call them because they would not do anything. I am not worried about the price, what my concern is is how he handled the situation. You come to the counter and address the customer. Not continue to type on your phone and then call your customer insane when they tell you that you needed to fix pricing.
Editing my review: General Manager did return my call and apologized for his staff behavior. Stated that he would get the behavior handled.
Ed is very polite, respectful and honors his word.

Great little location for a Dollar General. Keeps lake-goers fun having to drive all the way into town for necessities. Staff is friendly, and the parking lot is adequate for even those towing trailers

This new Higden store is horrible..... the employees there are non existing and when u can get one to ring u up it seems to really bother them..... dollar general really needs to be a little more selective on managers and employees at their stores
