I do NOT recommend Pinnacle Propane. They rarely make the mistake of a double delivery but when they do, YOU BETTER PAY! Whether you can afford it or not, you WILL pay for the propane. UPDATE: I contacted that email as suggested (.com or .net, what?) and received no reply. I decided to torture them with weekly payments of only $5 knowing it will make them spend more in processing the payment. * * * ADDENDUM * * * I'm just curious if anyone else is encountering this.
About 10 years ago my wife and I moved into our home in Bella Vista. We needed propane so I called around and got the lowest price I could find which was at Pinnacle Propane. They informed me that they owned the tank and they were the only ones who were allowed to fill it. Other companies agreed with that.
Then the end of the year rolled around and Pinnacle sent me a bill for the tank lease. After our previous conversation I expected that.
The years rolled by and I continued buying propane from them and paying the tank lease.
I finally got into a decent job making decent money and decided to purchase the tank so I wouldn't have to deal with the tank lease at the end of the year. (Separately, I'm still not sure if that was a great idea because the tank lease per year was about $100 and the tank purchase was $1800. Will this old tank last more than 18 years?)
Okay, so here is the issue I am asking everyone about. Last year, Pinnacle Propane still sent a bill to me for tank lease. I emailed them a copy of the receipt showing I purchased the tank. I then received a past due notice. I called their office and again reminded them I purchased the tank. They apologized deeply and asked I look past their mistake and they would take care of it. Okay, no harm done, right? Simple mistake.
However, a couple weeks ago I received another bill for the tank lease. I ignored it as I have tons of other things to deal with. Then, yesterday I received a reminder for the tank lease.
My question surrounds the possibility of this happening to other people, not just me.
Was the tank already purchased by the previous owner of the house and Pinnacle simply continues to bill regardless?
How about you? Did you purchase your tank and do you have to prove to the propane company every year that you purchased it?
Is it possible that a previous owner purchased your tank before you moved in and you are paying a lease each year for nothing?
How many other people are getting "flamboozled" by Pinnacle Propane?

About a year ago, after my many requests to buy the used propane tank that I had been leasing for 13 years, was told verbally on the phone that the tank was now mine and the lease was cancelled. Unfortunately, that verbal contract was recently reneged on, and I was advised that the lease continued.
I have been happy with the local delivery rep, but after the current lease year is up, I will probably cancel service, have the tank removed and go with another company.
Update from earlier negative review:
Shortly after the above review was posted, I was contacted by Vince Nealy, Customer Success Manager for Pinnacle Propane.
He advised me that he had reviewed my previous communications with Pinnacle personnel, and was supportive of my position, and would be back with me shortly.
He did get back with me a couple days later to advise that my annual lease payments to Pinnacle were done, and that I now had a lifetime lease on my propane tank, with no further payments required. He also arranged to have my recent lease payment refunded.
Bottom line is that I am very happy with the way Mr. Nealy and Pinnacle handled the issue I had with Pinnacle.

Not good to their employees.
Edit "we pride ourselves in taking care of employees and customers"
When pinnacle took over the business you talked down to everyone and laid off people who had worked there for decades like it was nothing. Judging by your current review score you don't take care of customers either.

Pinnacle Propane has been greatly appreciated on delivering propane each month during the extreme cold winter months. The driver is very kind and explained my usage used and fill amount each time.
