I see Dr. Mike. He is very thorough. He listens and explains any concerns I may have. The assistants that he has are always very nice and I feel very comfortable with them. I have also ordered glasses and have each pair have been fine. I do lower to higher priced frames. I wish they had a few more lower to choose from though. I have been going to him since I moved to Hot Springs Village in 2019.

Came to Hot Springs Village on vacation for the kid's spring break. I forgot to bring a backup pair of contact lenses and happened to lose one. The nice folks at Eyecare Specialties had a trial of the exact one I needed on hand and had it ready for me to pick up immediately. They really helped save my vacation. Thanks Eyecare Specialties!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Michael Semmler and at times when Dr. Mike was not available, his wife Susan, for almost 15 years. Being of the mature generation, our eyes are very important to us and constantly changing. I struggle daily with Chronic Migraine Disease which has also affected my vision. There are certain options for my prescription glasses only available through their office that I have added that help with environmental Migraine triggers. They are a one stop shop which is so convenient for us. Whether it’s an old persons eye emergency or eyeglasses quick fix, they are always there and ready to help us with a smile. Even our glasses are almost always ready within a week.I love this Eyecare group for many reasons. I trust these doctors with my eyes. Dr. Mike Semmler will answer all of your questions in detail. If you are having a specific problem, he will explain that in a way you can understand. If they can’t help you with an eye issue above their expertise, they will send you to someone who can. I have referred many friends to them. If you are having an eye emergency they will get you in as soon as possible.***Best of all, the staff is always friendly, welcoming, sensitive to my needs, and listen. They are happy to be there. It is obvious when a team is in a good work environment. The personality of the Boss, reflects on the team and vice versa. The docs and team alike are like a family. If you go here and had a bad day, then something bad happened to someone in this office that affected this entire team and it was unintentionally projected on to you. The other more plausible reason would be if you walked in the door with a bad Attitude and projected that on everyone there. Give them a second chance.This is a warm caring group of people. They are my go to for my Eyes!

Disappointing visit just to pick up my new glasses. Glasses were brought out with a cleaner by whoever. Never invited to sit down and try them on. I needed to try them on standing up and was given a reading card with no explanation. I had to ask for the case that came with the frames. Left with no intention of returning. The worst "optical department" I have ever experienced.

Dr Susan provided me with the best eye exam I have had in a very long time. She educated me in the changes that had taken place with my vision and what my new eyewear would do for me. The eyeglass selection was great and the optician helped me find the perfect frames!! I can't speak highly enough about this practice!! If you are looking for a great, friendly atmosphere where you are treated like family.. this is the place!! Thank you for the great service!!!!

Person who answered the phone was not very pleasant. Statement of we are not taking any new patients. Nothing like "we would be happy to take your name as soon as we are able to take new patients, etc... no offer of any suggestions" I thought Hot Springs was pretty short on customer service, and I see it now extends out here to the Village. We've been here 6 years and the complaint is that Villagers do not support business inside the Village... could be a reason for that???

Three points for improvement: - (1) Have the front door unlocked PRIOR to your first appointment - keeping people waiting outside in cold temps. is never appreciated.. (2) The need for presentation of insurance documentation is hardly seen as necessary 2 weeks apart. (3) Promptness would be appreciated in refunding over-charged amounts. But for the foregoing I would have awarded at least 4 stars.

I had checked various places until I came across this wonderful place. I worked with a lovely lady named Jill who found the perfect set of eyeglasses for me. Could not beat the prices with all the competition out there. The service was excellent and everyone is so upbeat and in great humor!
