I was a customer of 18 years, and my 13 year old fur baby Lola was hit by a car and passed away and I took her to Waggin Wheel to be cremated and they put her in their freezer “out back” and left her there for six weeks basically forgetting about her, even though someone went into that freezer up to ten times a week and just ignored her little body.when I went to find out why I hadn’t gotten her ashes back the girl at the front desk told me Lola was “on hold”. They were heartless and broke my heart again just thinking of her lying there so long. And when I asked to speak to the owner, Dr Bilby she didn’t even have the guts to see me or apologize.

They have the most caring staff. We lost one of cats shortly after Thanksgiving and they tried so hard to help him. The care and compassion they showed Smokey, Brian and me was above and beyond. We opted to have him cremated and when he returned to us they had all signed a card.

Compassionate and efficient service from check in to completion of the visit. Staff is ALWAYS friendly. Office is ALWAYS clean. Veterinarian’s are ALWAYS kind, informative and empathetic to your pet’s needs. I’m just sick that we are moving to Cabot and I will have to find another Veterinary Clinic.

My husband and I recently had 2 separate situations about a week apart in which we were in dire need of the vet’s service on a walk-in basis for our older dogs. During both occasions, everyone was so kind, empathetic and helpful. We vacation in HSV and have used them a few times before but I wouldn’t consider us regulars. Nevertheless, they worked us in without question and treated us in a very professional manner. Dr. Jill and Dr. Porterfield are very knowledgeable and have such a caring bedside manner. We truly can’t thank them enough for the excellent care they gave our dogs. Both are doing so much better thanks to their expertise! We highly recommend their services!

My husband & I got a new German Shepherd puppy after searching for one for several years. Needless to say....we were very excited. We have taken all of our dogs to Waggin' Wheel for well over five years. I got the new German Shepherd puppy one afternoon & the very next morning....took the puppy to Waggin' Wheel for a wellness check. When I arrived, I gave the shot record (given to me by the breeder) to the receptionist at Waggin' Wheel. Then, I was taken into an exam room. First, an assistant came in and had a knowledge base that was comparable to mine.....so, NOT HELPFUL!!! I could have googled what she was saying. Finally, Mrs. Bilby (one of the veterinarians there) came in and took a look at my new puppy. I explained that I thought the pup might be a little under-weight. Mrs. Bilby said, "German Shepherds are known to be nervous. Buy the pup a thunder shirt." Then, she took pup from my arms & went into the back room. Not sure what was done back there...but, she came back a few minutes later with the puppy and said, "That will be $160." I didn't quibble, but paid the bill and left. The next day, I called Waggin' Wheel and asked the receptionist if my Shep had had a worm test done. She said that she didn't know. I asked her, "Don't you keep info like that in a computer? Can't you just look at the record of the Shepherd pup and explain to me exactly what tests (if any) were done?" She said that she would get the assistant. Then, the assistant came to the phone & I went thru the same questions with her. She said that she didn't know either!!! WHAT!!! CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT TESTS WERE DONE ON MY PUPPY????? The assistant said that she would get Mrs. Bilbly. When Mrs. Bilby came to the phone, I had to go thru the exact same questions for a third time with a third employee of Waggin' Wheel. I specifically asked Mrs. Bilby if a worm test had been done on my puppy. Finally, she admitted that no worm test had been done!!! I told her that in my 50 plus years of dog ownership, a worm test is done as standard procedure.....especially on puppies. If nothing else, to ensure that the other dogs that we have at home don't get worms. Mrs. Bilbly stood by her thunder shirt recommendation. HUH!?!?! I called my husband at work and he suggested that I make another appointment to have the worm testing done. Next time that I went to Waggin' Wheel, my husband went with me. He had to take off work in order to keep this appointment. When we walked in, the receptionist asked us for the German Shepherd puppy's shot record. WHAT!!!!!!!!! I gave that to you last visit!!! When she told me that she couldn't find it, I asked her what kind of operation they were running. On this visit, my husband & I saw Mr. Bilby who is the other veterinarian at Waggin' Wheel. My husband explained that we were in hopes of establishing a base line of care for this pup as far as worms may be concerned. Also, my husband said that we saw it as a safeguard for all of the other dogs in our family. FINALLY, Mr. Bilby gave us a "do-it-yourself" test kit to take home and collect a sample from the German Shepherd pup. There was another exorbitant bill for nothing really. The receptionist could have handed us this kit. But, we paid it and went home. We dropped the sample with the receptionist at our first opportunity. When I called Waggin' Wheel several days later, the receptionist didn't have the results!!!!!!! Neither did the assistant!!!!!!! Mr. Bilby came to the phone and told me that I had a personality problem. WHAT!?!?!?! Just give me the results over the phone, plz. I have no intention of spending any more money in order to determine whether or not the puppy has worms!!!!!!! He delayed by saying, "We have to send those tests out to a lab." When I explained to him that in t

I have used Waggin Wheel Vet clinic to treat my elderly Maltese dog for some time. Sadly today it was time for my Molly dog (almost 17 years) to pass on to rainbow heaven. My heart is broken and I will truly miss her. I want to complement the staff and Dr. Jill for their compassion during this difficult time. From the time I walked in the front door, the front office staff was VERY professional and compassionate and immediately brought me to a comfortable area for the exam. I just want to thank everyone for making a difficult situation a little easier.
