Clean store inside and outside. Friendly and helpful employees for the most part. The departments were well stocked and I was able to find things I needed. Lines moved fast to check out

I live in the village. This is my preferred Walmart. Life is too short for all the negativity so I won't be writing bad reviews of the others. I may have just been there at the wrong time. All that aside, this one is still worth the drive. The auto center is the best from all the places I've been for an oil change. The store is generally cleaner than the others and service has been great. I have multiple Walmarts that are closer, but this is the one to go to.

Hello, this afternoon (2-19-23 around noon) I checked out with my family at the location 4019 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR 71913. We provided a gift card to be used toward the payment to our cashier. She swiped our gift card a few times and then told us it wasn't going to work. I asked her to enter the numbers for processing the gift card an she seemed very annoyed. This was not a busy time at the store. She then entered the numbers and told us once again it wouldn't work. I explained to her that I normally use the self checkout but couldn't do it with the gift card and wanted to get rid of it. She stated it wasn't going to work and just stared and me and my wife. I asked her to get a manager to assist, and she refused. She looked down and began checking her phone. I was a bit shocked. I asked if she was texting the manager to come over and she stated that the manager "would just do what I did" and then rolled her eyes. My wife just wanted to leave and I asked cashier politely for I third time to get someone that could assist. She rolled her eyes again and whispered a few inappropriate words and rudely walked to get her manager. I explained the issue to the manager and that I could not understand why the associate outright refused to get someone that could help. The manager typed the number in and was able to process the gift card immediately. I pulled the manager to the side after checking out and asked how she was able to process it and the cashier wasn't. She stated that cashier wasn't processing it correctly. I thanked her for the prompt response but also shared my concern about cashier's mannerism and outright refusal to get someone else involved. Her line was not busy, she just didn't seem to care, and insisted on treating me like someone that could be ignored. I strongly feel that the cashier should not be a customer facing associate. I'm not the type to make a scene and would typically avoid conflict. I was just generally so surprised by the poor attitude of the cashier, I decided to pursue it until the matter was concluded. This is the reason I'm following up with this message as well. Just a final thought, I really appreciated the manager stepping in and her overall attitude and demeanor.

This place is HORRENDOUS and the customer service is a joke. For 3 days, the entrance has smelled like fresh vomit. Today, when I walked in, there was this guy claiming.to be "head of security" yet he was in gym shorts and a Nirvana shirt. Now, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure Walmart employees are supposed to wear, oh I don't know, A UNIFORM?! And this same guy threatened to take my child from me ALL because I sternly told her to stop yelling. And when I stood up and raised my voice so people would hear that this "man" threatened to basically kidnap my 6 year old daughter, IM the one asked to leave?! You will be FN Lucky if I choose not to contact my lawyer. People are always saying they hate Walmart. WELL THIS IS WHY!!!!

First, this Walmart has a very solid array of ethnic ingredients. I thought I'd need to make a trip to Little Rock every time I made a new recipe, but usually not. I'm impressed with the cleanliness of the store, the way it's organized and the selection of product. Today, on the way out of the store, I dropped a full jar of pasta sauce and a very thick kombucha bottle. The glass exploded and cut my foot, right in the store entrance. I was mortified, as it was a little "gory" in addition to the red sauce everywhere. The staff was exceptional. They helped me clean everything up and wrapped my foot so I could go get a few stitches. They took all my things to the car and replaced my sauce and drink (which I needed after this!). I was so grateful and impressed. Will definitely continue shopping at this store!

Slicing tomatoes are always soft. Roma tomatoes are better usually. The problem with the soft rotten tomatoes has been ongoing for months and predated covid so that's not the reason. The store has a good manager and performs well in other areas but whoever they have delivering their tomatoes is screwing them. Apparently the produce section has no real manager. These tomatoes are soft when they arrive and should be refused by the manager.

Please save yourself the time and go to Kroger or another respectable store. The worst experience of our trip to Hot Springs happened at this Walmart! Besides two helpful employees that showed us where the items we were looking for could be found, the workers were rude and could care less about trying to help. We were told "that's not my job" by more than one employee when we asked for help. We were in the self check-out and one of the items scanned wrong. It took 15 minutes for an employee to come and try to help. They weren't any help and we ended up leaving the store without purchasing the item.

This particular store's policy on checking bags is entirely suspect and begging for a lawsuit; At least how it is described by the associates and greeter (who has become a form of loss prevention). Despite the cameras, undercover loss prevention, sensors and detectors at the exits, this location, according to cashiers, has no means of deactivating soft sensors like other locations and the greeter/loss prevention associate disseminated a notion to me that your bags can be searched upon exiting, regardless if you had checked out through a line with a cashier. Here, you are, essentially, guilty of shoplifting until proven innocent. They even have new technology to scan items within your bags to determine whether or not you did, in fact, purchase that item. Yet, the greeter/loss prevention associate with whom I spoke said quote, "I don't think Walmart cares about loss prevention", a total insult of my intelligence. Spouting out hypotheticals like "customers who go through the self-checkouts steal" and "some even bring Walmart bags to the store to shoplift", indicated to me, the customer, that this location did not trust me. And what happens if I refused and understandably became offended by these implications? Do you really want to find out? It's not a constitutionally-minded Walmart and should be very concerning to every self-respecting, hard-working American. Otherwise, you should be prepared to have your privacy violated and eyes on you upon your departure when the alarm sounds.
