I strongly recommend that people not use Wells Fargo Advisors if they want their money back when they need it. I opened a college account for my daughter years ago in Michigan. We moved to Arkansas about a year ago and my daughter is getting ready to start college. We needed her money to pay for tuition. Originally I was told I could go to any Wells Fargo and be able to request the funds. So I went to the Wells Fargo in Texarkana, over 100 miles away, to request the funds be made available. They then told me to go to any Wells Fargo Advisor because they couldn't do anything. So I went to the Wells Fargo in Hot Springs, 30 miles away. There we were told they couldn't do anything, only the advisor in Michigan could. The lady there literally laughed at us when we got frustrated about the runaround we were getting. Glad it was funny for her. Then the advisor in Michigan did cash out our account but forgot to send it. I called him a few days after he had told us our check would arrive to ask about it with no response. So I called again. This time he did call back but only to try and give a lame excuse as to why he forgot to send the check and that he just mailed it out. He didn't even bother to overnight it to us since by now it was almost two weeks since we had requested him to cash it out. I would never do business with such an incompetent company again. Is this where you want your money? They might forget to sell or buy your stocks next time you ask. Our family is moving all of our investments accounts away from this company as they have completely lost any respect and trust.
