Had an issue last year with some lady named Levon that kept trying to input my military pay in the wrong block on the state form and it was trying to tax it, I had to finally correct her on this. I never had an issue when Shell Davidson did my taxes she was in top of everything. Now today I walk in to find A very young child acting as the manager and she puts me with a fresh trainee and does nothing to help her out and this young trainee is too busy running her mouth screwing up and I am constantly having to correct her mistakes. then it come down to my stock option which I did not make enough to be reportable and this young child comes and bows up to me that I needed to change my tone with the intern and I had not changed my tone at all if I had they be crying in the floor. I reluctantly came back to this office even tho my instinct told me not too. I am done with H&R Block. they are hiring children to run their office, not properly training the newbies, not putting a seasoned preparer (5 years or more experience) with the interns, and have become way over priced. I know HR reads these reviews so I am telling you do not call me next year, text or email I am done with you. I now have an appointment with another competing preparer tomorrow

I wasn't informed that I would be paying over $300 before starting my tax return. I was prompted after it was finished and I felt like I was backed into a corner to have H&R Block do my taxes. I would have rather gone through a different agency if that was the case. The NY.Gov website informed me that I would be eligible to file for free and while overseas at Yokota AB, I was able to have free tax assistance. While I understand that tax professionals are being paid for this service and I respect that, I still would have rather had the price broadcasted upfront before the service was provided. The online portal was incredibly intermittent and horribly coded. Shell was a great and friendly representative and this score in no way reflects her service. She was a 5/5 easily with how promptly she took care of me.

H&R block from our experience has always been the best and they make sure to get you the maximum refund. We have been going with H&R block for the past four years because of the vaat knowledge of our unique tax situations, especially for those in the military.
