We came in during the transition from the Crawfords to Leanna and Bo Zimmerman, I have to say it was a trip to remember. We took our vacation during Thanksgiving and asked if they had pans to cook a turkey, Leanna made sure we were takin care of. For extra pans for Castroneves and other things. The cabins are both beautiful inside and out. The area is gorgeous because you're smack in the middle of the mountains. It's also close enough that we took a 2 day trip to Branson, Missouri. If you can book one of the cabins do it. The 1 bedroom fit 3 of us fine with an air mattress but will be renting the 2 bedroom next time.

This is for the Bear Hollow Cabin as there are two cabins. My review is to help people to decide if it is what they are looking for in a stay; as some don't need/want some modern conveniences. This is a perfect size cabin for a couple and a great home base cabin for visiting the Jasper/Upper Buffalo Wilderness areas. If complete seclusion is what your looking for this may not be it as it has a cabin next to it located below it. We had neighbors but no problems with noise etc. of any kind. It has a queen size bed, closet, bathroom with a walk in shower with just shower curtains. It has a full kitchen with amenities such as pots, pans, coffee maker etc. The kitchen, dining and living room are all in one. It has a recliner, couch, coffee table, sat tv and internet. The only downers to me is that although it has i net; it is basically non existent because if you do get on it your right back off within 1-5 minutes. My wife and I have straight talk phone service, hers works on Verizon towers, while mine on AT&T. She was able to get inet on her phone but mine was a no go for most of the time. The satellite tv would have many channels go out from time to time; not all at once just some would go out while others were available still. It has a back porch with a swing and a neat wooden rocking chair. There was also a small ashtray for those that want to smoke even thought the cabin itself is non smoking. There is nothing to look at off the porch except woods, heavy woods. To add, the cabin is all cedar inside. The hosts name is Linda and was very nice. They have a small gift shop? that I could never catch while it was open to check it out. We had a good stay and the cabin was reasonably priced.

I am beyond thankful to have found this place at the last minute. Our other accommodations did not work out and Kelly was nice enough to get a cabin ready for me, my brother and his dogs and let us stay. I was so happy that she had a cabin available (cabin #2)! And what a cabin! These are log cabins with long decks that overlook the Arkansas hills. Everything was clean and just really, really nice. I was looking for a place with a full kitchen, and this had it (well, minus the oven, but that was OK, it had a toaster oven!), including full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove. The kitchen had everything you might need: pots, pans, all manner of utensils, all the dishes and silverware, storage containers potholders, etc. There was a dining table, and couches and a coffee table in front of the fireplace. There were games on the shelf that you could play, there were lots of power outlets, big fluffy towels in the bathroom, and parking for 2+ cars. The downstairs bedroom had a queen bed (I think) and upstairs in the loft was a twin and a double. Lots of room to spread around here! The deck had a birdfeeder and a hummingbird feeder (and, yes, the hummingbirds do show up), with rocker-swing two-seater, barbecue, bench, and two chairs, just plenty of room to hang out. Our deck overlooked a beautiful field in front of the view of all the pretty Arkansas hills. Oh, and the sunset was almost directly in front of us!I felt like I was living in the hunting lodge of a Lord of the Manor and thoroughly enjoyed being there. It is about a quarter-mile up a side road from Highway 7, just south of Jasper, and it was very quiet there except for the sounds of birds!Kelly was extremely accommodating and gracious, and again, I was thoroughly thrilled to find this place on short notice because it was really spectacular and beyond my expectations!
