Mississippi River State Park is a hidden gem of the delta located in a gorgeous forested area atop Crowley’s Ridge. The park offers fantastic campgrounds, trails, beauty, and so much history. There are three campgrounds in nice areas. Beech Point campground on Bear Creek Lake has RV hookups, solid Wi-Fi, and a stellar bath house. Lone Pine is a more aesthetic and secluded primitive campground in a denser forest. Storm Creek Lake Campground at the southern end has large, well-equipped, and level spots with concrete RV pads and full hookups. The entire park and staff are wonderful. The modern, beautiful, and well-appointed visitor center is amazing. The park is very well-maintained and provides a beautiful setting for camping.
I camp in the primitive side so there is only a pit toilet.

The entire park and staff are wonderful but we are partial to the Storm Creek Lake Campground at the southern end of the park. Large, well-equipped and level spots. I do with the WiFi were stronger, however.
