Lake Ouachita State Park is a clean, peaceful, and beautiful park on a beautiful lake. It is a fun park for camping, hiking, and water sports, with a great campground featuring level paved pads and full hookups. Visitors enjoy the beautiful mountain views, calmness, and sounds. The park has two swimming areas, a unique old spa area, and good access to the Hot Springs area. It offers primitive walk-in campsites with shade and a cool breeze. While some staff were not overly friendly, park rangers can provide helpful assistance.
Had a blast here. The staff gave us some tips on where to bank fish and we managed to catch 16 small gills and 1 turtle. Lake was gorgeous.

This is an absolutely fabulous place. The water is not crystal clear, but it is a beautiful clear lake, great place to take a family.
