Avoid at all costs. From the moment we ordered two sandwiches to the time they showed up was about 45 minutes. $24 for two badly made subs. Mine had the pickles I asked to be deleted and was the worst food I could have ever imagined. I watched in amazement as a group of teenage girls paid $3.50 each for a small single scoop of ice cream about as big as my thumb. Truly the worst Cuban sandwich I have ever had.

Amazing! Business owner is sweet, silly, and a hard worker! Our sandwiches were delicious, and the wheat bread with berries was totally to die for! There are TONS of flavors for lattes, and she uses Columbian roast so it's thick, rich, and easy on your tummy! Loved visiting.

Drove about 35 minutes from Millwood State Park. Absolutely loved the food. The pimento cheese, ham and cheese, as well as the desserts. Will definitely be back. Another plus, it's in the cutest downtown area.

We actually visited the store twice in the two days we were in Mufreesboro. The staff was awesome. The first day we stopped, we bought a jar of Cinnamon Honey Butter. My SO now wishes we had bought at least two jars. ? Seriously, it is AWESOME! To the store clerk/cook who said she'd never tried it, there you go. You should try it. ? We stopped by the next morning because the only other restaurant nearby that wasn't already serving lunch was closed due to their air conditioner shutting down. We had noticed the day before that Hawkins Variety served sandwiches, so we went in and asked if they were still serving breakfast, and, to our delight, they were. We asked for ham, bacon, American cheese, and egg on Sourdough bread and it was enough for two of us to split. The bread was fresh and it was perfectly cooked (though again, my SO said he wished he'd gotten a whole sandwich ?).

Stopped in to get ice cream. The vanilla looked more brown than white. When we attempted to order with the lady behind the counter, she pointed at the worker in the middle of the store. Apparently she was too busy to help paying customers. We went somewhere else. This is after the response from the owner. I know the difference between vanilla and Dr. Pepper float. Pick up window? I was talking to the person behind the counter, not the person on the floor. Oh well, none of us are happy.

Came for coffee, ordered Latte it was ok not best like their display said. The store is over 100 year old but kept very well. So many varieties of candy and other Knick knacks. It served blue bell icecream too. Owner is a sweet lady and staff is friendly as well. We were passing by after visiting crater of diamond park. May stop by next time when we are in town.

This is one of the one of the only places in town to get a good cup of custom coffee. They do get their own custom beans and they are pretty good too. The ow era are very nice and have a variety of home made sandwich offerings available as well. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town

Maybe it was an off day but we Picked up two iced lattes that were undrinkable. One was so super sweet my MIL almost spit it out and my wife’s was incredibly bitter and didn’t taste anything like what she ordered. They both had to throw them away. The lady working was pretty short and rude with them as well while ordering. I had a coke in a bottle that was good.

Super cute shop that has breakfast and lunch items. This is a very old school vibe with old school candy from your childhood (if you were born in the 80's)! Friendly & quick service...the food was just okay.

Hawkins store has a very nice, friendly 50s-60s vibe to it— which would be swell if only the staff matched its energy. No one was at the front when I walked in, and had to wait a few minutes to be greeted. No big deal, I know people have things to do. When I was able to place my order, (a caramel latte) The cashier seemed already drained of energy, at 10:30am. I was asked if a cappuccino would be okay since she had hit the wrong button on the register. I tried my best to be polite, and said “No thank you, I’ll stick to the latte”. The service was a little cold and I didn’t get talked to very much, but she could have just been having a rough morning. Coffee was eh.

Neat small town place. All kinds of odds and ends for sale. Really old building. I loved going upstairs and looking at the architecture. They sell everything from kitchen utensils to swords. Little toys for kids. Candy and ice cream. The menu had some sandwiches. Can't remember what else. Three small four chair tables to eat at I believe. Overall it was a nice place. Service was ok. It was neat. Prices were a bit steep. Space was limited. On a spring weekday. Kinda a maybe on if I'd go back. Not turned off. Not impressed.

My wife and I stopped in Hawkins after a morning of Diamond hunting and we're so glad we did. Great vibe inside and out. Kay took care of us and she made a fantastic breakfast sandwich for me and a chicken salad for my wife--both were excellent as was the cappuccino she made. Be sure to check this place out if you're in town.

A acquaint little Country storm. They have the best selection of candy for any young person to enjoy! They also have a variety of novelty items that are very interesting. It's nice having this kind of store in our community. It's a blast from the past in a way and is always tons of fun for the kids.

You must try their "Cubano" sandwich, it is excellent. Family owned and run business and they have many interesting items such as old school candies, sodas, and many items worth stopping by and taking a look.
