Swaha Lodge & Marina is a very nice and quiet place to stay on beautiful Lake Greeson, offering pretty views and not being far from town. It is a neat location right near the dam, providing a breath of fresh air and adventure. This long-time family-run business offers lots of options to stay, including cabins, tree houses, boat houses, condos, and some dog-friendly accommodations. The cabins are perfect, very nice, and can be small or larger like a three-bedroom retreat, serving as a home away from home. They are mostly well kept and cleaned, with comfortable beds, heating and AC, ceiling fans, and free wifi. Some cabins feature a huge wrap-around porch with nice views, plenty of yard space, and a beautiful deck and dock overlooking the water. The marina is nice with a well-stocked office offering supplies, live bait, and a little gift shop. There are options for restaurants, including Hunt Brothers Pizza and The Dam Grill, which smelled great and served really good pizza. Guests can rent a pontoon boat or small barge to explore the lake, though rentals can be costly with additional fuel charges. There is a nice large swimming area with rocky shores and a public picnic or swimming area very close by. Nearby activities include being a short drive from the cute town of Murfreesboro, its cute downtown square with tourist shops, a good coffee shop and restaurant, and the Crater of Diamonds State Park. The office staff is very accommodating. However, the business does not offer refunds or rescheduling for cancellations, even for inclement weather. Some cabins may lack full kitchen equipment, storage, hooks, dressers, or a second TV, and cabins are close together offering less privacy. Overall, it is a highly recommended quiet getaway for a day or three, especially for families, with so much to offer for a vacation to remember.
