My wife and I came to the restaurant for the first time. We were seated by the window overlooking the White River. Our table server, Blaine, was very delightful and patient. There are so many excellent and interesting choices available, it was a bit difficult for my wife to decide. For me, the choice of prime rib was easy. My wife chose the pork shank osso bucco. My prime rib was very tasty and tender. My wife loved the pork shank osso bucco. It was so tender that the meat would fall off the bone using only her fork. I had an excellent old fashioned from the bar. Be sure to save room for dessert. The bread pudding and cheese cake was awesome. It is great finding gems like PJ's off the beaten path.

Food & drinks: Disappointed in food. Service and location was good. We had the red snapper taco and hamburger.

We eat there quite a few times a year, birthdays, anniversaries and just for a great place to eat. Food and service are always very good, best to have a reservation anytime you go, sometimes not so busy in the winter, but a must in the nice weather. Many choices on the regular menu and always a few specials to choose from. We just ate there this Friday, excellent service and steaks were cooked to perfection, there is a wide variety of wine and cocktails to go with dinner. Just an all round nice place to go, and sitting next to the river and watching the water run by is a perk too! Highly recommend it.

There are two places in the Twin Lakes area that I would even consider eating a steak. PJ's is my number one!The food and service make this place my favorite restaurant, the owners and staff are amazing! We drive 45 minutes to eat here regularly. It is expensive but worth every penny.

I cannot speak to the rooms they offer at this place because we went for the food. This was our second time visiting PJ's and wanted to wait until we came back in order to gauge this place because even though the food was really good both times; The service we got the first time was not. So let's get to our second time PJ's Restaurant evaluation, shall we? So; My wife and I had made reservations for a Sunday noon brunch and we arrived on time and were greeted by a nice man who had been seated at the bar watching the NFL game on the television just above the bar. We found out later that he was part owner of the place and was a really nice man. In fact; His daughter is the chef of the restaurant. We were seated by the window that had a great view of the river and gorgeous wooded banks and was greeted by our server who was all smiles. She gave us the menus which had their breakfast and lunch items as well as their cocktail list. My wife opted for the ranchero omelette while I went for the cheese steak, seasoned duck fat fries. We also ordered some adult beverages and sipped on those while our order was being prepared. The restaurant ambiance is very comfortable. It's a shiplap, cabin-style interior with simple, holiday-themed decor (makes sense since it was close to Christmas). It wasn't too long before our server walked out with our food and it looked and smelled delicious. I was really impressed with the portion size but the real proof was in the taste. My wife started in on her food and looked quite content as I grabbed hold of my sandwich which oozed melted cheese and au jus and sank my teeth into it. You know that beautiful silence that occurs when you are enjoying a great meal? Well; That's the same silence that happened here followed by a series of delightful mmm's and head nodding. I knew that this was going to taste good but my taste buds were dancing! My wife and I have a habit of trading our dishes halfway through and I got to that point faster than she did. I really wanted to end that tradition for this particular meal and reluctantly traded it out. My wife started in on the cheese steak as I cut into her omelette. I saw her eyes widen as she had her first bite. She was pleased with the trade. I took a bite into her omelette and it was also very good but I was a little sad that I wasn't holding that delicious creation she was now enjoying. We both savored what remained until the plates were cleaned. I even ate the orange slice and strawberry garnish that adorned the meal! We sat back and sucked down what remained of our beverages and determined that we would definitely be back to try something new but I know that that cheese steak would be a "go to" should it be difficult to decide. It was a great experience and we will be back!

Hidden gem that consistently serves superior food with uncompromising quality and uncommon creativity. But for its rural location and remoteness, this restaurant would be a contender for James Beard award recognition.Evening meals have been highly creative presentations and the weekend prime rib has been top-notch. And don’t miss an opportunity to enjoy one of their special holiday buffet meals (pictured)!

We were never told they “didn’t have something”, so that’s a bonus.
