This place is Massive, but I felt like I time warped to a store from the 1980s. I'm honestly surprised this place is even in business.

I had to exchange three items after Christmas. I had the receipt for two of them. No problem. The third was a gift from our son and we didn't have receipt. All I wanted to do was get a bigger size. With no receipt all they would do is give me 1/2 the credit so we would have to purchase the other half. We spend lots of money in this store. These are the first returns we've had to make. I will not be back since this is their policy. They just lost a very good customer.

I like Belk - they have good deals on shoes, especially around Black Friday. I wish this store were more accessible, though. I was pushing a stroller and had to lift it up over the curb to get in the door, which was not a huge issue for me since I am able bodied, but imagine needing to get in using a wheelchair. I also had difficulty navigating the aisles near the middle of the store because there were so many tables and displays in the middle of the aisles - I could barely fit the stroller through, so I really doubt someone in a wheelchair could get through.

Attempted to purchase a suitcase and few clothing items on Sunday around noon. Cashier wouldn’t look at us or give us the time of day. Another person came along but could only tell us to go up front and pay at a different location. We just left everything laying and walked out. No wonder they hardly have any customers, worst customer service ever. We went somewhere else and gladly paid. Thanks for nothing Belk, we could have shopped on line but try to give stores business but am always amazed when they don’t want it.

Today 10/12/24, Got there when store opened at 10am Ready to purchase items. Patricia at the jewelry counter finally acknowledged us at 10:15 and said I’m not ready. And we asked her “how long will it be” she said 5-10 more minutes. She was very rude and short so we left. Wasted a trip from Siloam for this one specific reason for my 81 year old mom. I would rather spend more money at another store than be treated like that. I mean, it’s already 10am. Be ready to sell. Very disappointed. My mom finally felt good enough to do this and Patricia ruined it for her/us. And idk if they work on commission but she wasn’t making a dime off of us.

Not sure I will ever shop here again. I went Thursday to buy a pair of shoes and asked the clerk to please order me a brand new pair and deliver them to my home. She gladly obliged. The floor model pair was dirty and had a few stains on them. She correctly read my address and I paid for them. She said it would probably take 7-10 days but more than likely I would get it in 4-5. Yesterday I received a phone call from FedEx saying they couldn’t deliver the package because the address didn’t exist. It didn’t even come close to matching my address - different house number, different street name. So we corrected it. Thank you FedEx for calling me. I receive them today, and it was the same dirty shoes I tried on in the store. Same stains, no paper around them. Just thrown in the box and shipped. I think they thought they were dealing with someone with a terrible memory. I don’t know, but it really irritates me. I can’t even call the store. I get some foreign person I can barely understand, then I’m forwarded to FedEx to ‘fix’ my address because Belk can’t do it on their end. FedEx won’t answer the phone without a tracking number. I’m so fed up with ‘technology’ and true customer service.
