We came to El Taconazo because of friends recommendations, and we have tried almost all mexican restaurants and food trucks in NWA. They were not on yelp, and their facebook page doesn't says much, so I just drove on Sunday 2pm and got there. It is a taco truck on South Old Wire in Rogers, they have a couple of tables for eating in, but I think it is more a take-out place. They are open Thursday to Sunday, 4pm til close, so arriving at 2pm was 2 hours earlier their open time, but I saw the service window open, and I was told that they were doing the cooking on site (which is a good sign of not bulk dishes prepared for the whole week), so that is why windows were opened, but despite of that, they were more than grateful of offering me asada, pastor and chorizo, as those were the plates that were ready. Taco size is the average size you will find in other places, but man, you can make maybe three out of one taco! They were as full as possible with the ingredient of your choice. I really loved the asada and pastor, and I would come back for those. The chorizo was a little bit over cooked for mine and my wife's taste. So it is 2 good vs 1 not that good, and we couldn't try any other dish because of the time we came in. We will definitely come back, after 4pm (we've heard it is like a bee's nest when they are open), and give a try to other dishes, and a second chance to the chorizo. In our opinion, food truck have better tacos than restaurants, Yeyo's and La Carreta are great examples. El Taconazo seemed to me like a family run place, cooking from the heart, and trying to make it a good business, so you may find opportunities here and there, like tha fact they are cash only, but more food options are good options.
