Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a great outdoor destination with beautiful views and a variety of trails for hiking and cycling. The park features a new visitors center that opened around Thanksgiving 2023, which provides restrooms, trail access, and covered picnic tables around a covered patio. Visitors can enjoy exploring the park, with trails suitable for all levels—some easy and some more challenging—offering quick hikes with stunning scenery. The park is dog-friendly, with dogs required to be on a leash, and has a playground for children. There is a picnic area and an ice cream shop called Loblolly, where visitors can enjoy a waffle cone. Parking can sometimes be limited, but the park offers a wonderful outdoor experience with opportunities for walking, climbing the mountain, and enjoying nature.
Stopped here for our school group to eat lunch as we were traveling through the state. Students liked exploring for the little bit of time we had.

The hike was not too bad but you definitely need to bring water and be able to step over and on large rocks. We had a great time.
