Great state park. Well marked trails and a great visitors center. We parked in the West lot, took the Base Trail to the East Trailhead. Climbed the East summit and went down the West to end at our car. With 3 kids around 9 that all took about 3 hours.

This is a beautiful hike and worth the visit. Note that the East trail is very difficult and required climbing or in my case clinging to boulders. The West trail hike is much easier. Little Rock is a great city and underrated.

Great place to visit if you are in the area. Go early and avoid the crowds and heat. Go even earlier and catch an amazing sunrise. I didn’t try to summit this time around, but the trails around the base are still fun.
