About Buffalo National River
Buffalo National River offers a peaceful and beautiful outdoor experience. The river is calm most of the time, with some small rapids to add excitement, making it ideal for inexperienced groups. Visitors can enjoy walking along the riverbank, which is often quiet and perfect for wildlife viewing. The area features clean, modern restrooms and a scenic picnic area with large grills. After a steep, twisty drive into the valley, guests are rewarded with stunning views of cliffs and numerous camping sites, including spots for those with horses. Beautifully peaceful river. Calm float most of the time with some small \"rapids\" thrown in to keep things exciting. If you're looking for a good trip for an inexperienced group this is the one.

Beautiful! Went on a kinda rainy day so I had the boat launch and riverbank all to myself. It was a great place to walk and see all kinds of wildlife.Restrooms: Clean! Flushing.Picnic area: Beautiful, old feet but they're either new or have been modernized. Two huge grills in the center for cooking.

After descending down a steep twisty road for a few miles, we broke out into the valley floor. Great views of the cliffs. Lots of camping places including many sites for camping with horses. Dog friendly too. Looked like lots of trails. Quiet and spectacular.
