I was served almost immediately (I was given just enough wait time to open a free bottle of water). I was given answers to all my questions and even had an enjoyable chat with my banker, unfortunately I have forgotten her name?♀️. My apologies.

Customer service has slowly declined at the Searcy office. I’ve been a member for many years and I realize that sometimes staff are busy helping others. However, when I visit lately it seems that I wait for the staff to finish visiting and laughing with each other before they come to the drive through window and when they finally come to the window, they act like it’s an inconvenience to help me with my request. Also, I know most place have a dress casual Friday, but OMG is all I can say on some days! Clothes look slept in, hair unkept, and over all appearance is ?.I usually do not even respond to these emails, but I feel I should say something since I’ve thought about moving my accounts to another bank lately.

There is never enough help at the Searcy location. Instead of waiting so long I just use the night box for pymts, deposits, etc. I don't mind waiting my turn but not as long as I have.That is poor customer service. The associates are doing the best that they can. Polite, apologetic. This isn't their fault at all.However, afcu is the best financial institution to do business with by far. Online, phone, mail, inperson, etc.

Twenty years ago, it was probably worthwhile to join a CU. But today, with the service I've received from AFCU, I'm so glad I have a traditional bank account. If you have money you do not need for bills (their bill pay app is cluncky and lags/drops more often than it should) or emergencies I would keep it in AFCU. Otherwise it is much easier to work with a national bank (I never thought I'd say that) and if this is your first ever bank account you should very much prefer a bigger, national bank that has easier use and better responsiveness (esp with a smartphone!!), which is the opposite of what I expected. Disappointed generally.
