Usually our go to for Italian food in this area. At our last visit the chicken was cold , we sent it back and it came back burnt. Nobody said a word about it. It was seen by 3 employees and nobody said a word or tried to fix it. Spaghetti is always good. Service is usually excellent

Lasagna was very mediocre - indistinctive meat sauce with a single layer of pasta and ordinary cheese. Only four choices of poor quality wines? Very limited menu of Italian dishes. No Italian deserts. Even the fettuccini appeared to be just a sauce served over spaghetti. Our server was wearing too short of cut-off jeans. This was a real disappointment. I only stayed because I was with a group of friends. Save yourself the disappointment - any Olive Garden would be a far superior experience.

My RV was being serviced about a mile east. I had a wait and had not had anything to eat since about 6 am. I started walking west and Mamaz was the first restaurant along the way. After I walked in a dumpy, wanna be blond middle aged lady behind the register informed that that they were closed at 2. There were 2 ladies at the register and at least 2 tables with customers sitting and eating. My watch said 2:01. I looked at her and she snapped that they close at 2 and kitchen was closed. I won't go back and will tell anyone looking to eat in Tontiton that this is not worth the effort.

We wanted something different in this area filled with fast food as chain places. On a Saturday around 12 there were 5-6 cars in lot so we thought we'd try. We were seated quickly ( all tables no booths) and given menus. Waitress took drink orders and we explained we were 1st time visitors and she recommended the fried chicken and spaghetti. Did not sound good so I asked if the lasagna ( large) was enough to take home half of and she said yes. Hubby loves Chicken parm so he ordered that. came with salad. Salad was delivered with packets of commercial Blue Cheese dressings. Small bowl made it difficult to eat without spilling, Regular iceberg lettuce with a few chopped tomatoes and some yellow cheese. Basket of small toasts was provided with some packages of crackers on bottom of basket. Stale. Also not very hygienic if you wanted crackers you have to move the toasts aside and I'm certain they don't throw away a while basket of toasts? Some time later ( salads had been finished a while) she brought 2 oval plates on round plates. Hubby's chicken parm was in the oval dish under a mound of red sauce, with a large amount of spaghetti on the side, not a lot of sauce. Chicken very thin and hard to eat from oval dish. I tasted the sauce and it had no flavor - no garlic, basil.. oregano, salt, nada. So my lasagna was not like I have ever had before -I have always had a square or rectangle on a plate. Where you can see the various layer and cheese and meat. Not in a shallow oval dish! I tried cutting it with a fork and it came away with cheese strands and slippery noodles, I did not find any meat! And it was an odd orange color, not red like hobby's, but exactly like his in taste - as in none. No garlic, basil, oregano, salt, So disappointed! And the cost! This is LUNCH! $12, lasagna, $17.50 Chicken parm, 2 sodas $6. and a service fee of $3 to charge on credit card! Checkout cashier asked how our meal was and I told her "really not very good" and she just ignored my comment! Real service there!

The waitress was congenial, but that was the best thing about this place. We drove from the interstate because of reviews, something we wouldn't do again. We didn't like the pasta, the sauce, or the fried chicken perched beside the spaghetti.

What a fun night we had visiting with friends here. The food is authentic. Reminds us of college meals in Tonitown. The spaghetti is homemade and delicious—pasta and sauce. Rolls melt in your mouth. I will be back.

It has been decades since I visited any Tontitown restaurants. After reading reviews, Mama Z's sounded like a good place to try. Our server was attentive and efficient. The restaurant appeared clean. It was busy on a Wednesday evening. Each of us ordered the lasagna. It was good, but appeared to have been under a heat lamp for a while. These folks know how to cook wonderful Italian food. Because of the "freshness factor" I doubt we will re-visit.

This local Restaurant is a Mom and Pop type restaurant that makes its own pasta. I love the spaghetti and meatballs, with tender noodles and rich sauce. Be advised not to get the large serving unless you are planning to take some home. Large serving with rolls will fill you up! For dessert I can wholeheartedly recommend the chocolate or Coconut pies. Very rich and creamy with huge meringue topping. So good. My wife loves their fruit cobblers. Nice local ladies take care of you with a smile ?.

Service and food were great. Ready to leave, paying with cc and told there would be .35 per $10 fee added to the bill if we used cc. We paid cash. Very offensive. Raise food price! Do not tag on extra after the fact!!!
