They are never organized. They do this program at least twice a year and never have a line and never on time for appts. We need help but who wants to sit waiting for more than an hour, especially when you chose to make an appt and not walk-in. You might as well skip the scheduling because it will make no difference. You have those who use the program so often that they literally walk up to the workers and get seen right away. It’s disrespectful to those that want to bombard them but choose to be patient and respectful and mindful of others. Please do better. We need the help it’s not a want.

Told us a month and a half ago we arrived for a pledge. Waited till our electric got shut off then told us they can’t help us get it turned back on bc it’s not their fault it got shut off and that we should’ve had a back up in plan. Id we Had a back up why would we need this place for help? Promise to pay and backed out.

If you are trying to reach them by phone, you will probably need to keep calling…and calling. Yet they don’t take walk- ins, unless you are in disconnect status.I would still recommend them as a resource due to the fact they can, in many instances keep you from being “shut-off”. Also, you can get assistance through LIHEAP if you qualify.

This place helps low income people with their heating and cooling bills twice a year. Summer and winter utility bill.

They do not move very fast, sat there 2 1/2 hrs. And had to make an appt. And leave. I believe they are doing a good thing if handled properly. I went there 2 weeks. Ago for help,was told I had to send a couple things in, I did exactly what they told me to do with no reply or help, so I go back today(about 30 miles ea. Way) to sit all morning and have to leave,with no help at all. Seems they need a couple more caseworkers, in my opinion!! God bless them all for trying?
