Stopped here after getting off the Arkansas & Missouri Train ride. We got two coffees and a lemonade. Everything was fantastic, and the set up was so cute. Definitely will come back!

This is a great find on main street across from the train station! Every kind of book that you can want - great atmosphere and friendly helpful staff. Make sure to try the hot London Fog drink - amazing! I highly recommend this bookstore!

In my recent review, I was too harsh on Chapters. I was too distasteful due to the bad faith of a fellow patron. It's a lovely addition to Main Street. It compliments the fantastical train station it neighbors. In my heart, the Vault almost rivals it; were I not a bigger fan of coffee than wine. It fills the heart of its nearby denizens with mysticism and wonder with little cost to them; a grace that this world needs to know more of. The coffee is chosen with excellent taste. Airship Coffee, formerly known as Mama Carmen's (If I'm not delusional), was a good whole roast; but the Onyx they've recently chosen serves as an exact analog. I even find the Onyx blend that they use to be preferable to their previous supplier. I apologize to any fellow patrons reading this review with the impression that I am an incredibly sucrose person; though candid, overt sweetness is not my forte. There's things I've longed to speak about with the owners personally: In regards to their tasteful choice of location, catalogue of books (which frankly I've found some in there that have resonated with my being, and it would bring me a great pleasure if I could provide my services in hedging their literature selection for the benefit of all), and finally what spurred the decision to set up in Van Buren. I've learned a great deal of the owners simply by my frequenting the place. I feel like I've been done a disservice without much explanation to my perceived offense (were there any at all). I'm preparing a manilla envelope to be delivered by my secretary as she is still welcome within the establishment. It will have a reference in it that humbles me to receive; and an informative (hopefully brisk) written explanation as to why it would humble me greatly to just sit for a moment and talk with the owners over coffee. I would think I'd even be swayed to leave a 5-star review instead; I would even pay for our drinks. Should my request be denied, I will take it with grace as I have always tried with my failures and successes. My heart will pine to see the place again, and I would only hope that whoever they employ there next cares as much about the building as I do.

I visit this place several times a week, and I never have anything but a wonderful experience. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, the coffee is the best in the area in my opinion, and the atmosphere is charming. Don’t miss it!

Closest bookstore to me, I’ve been trying to call to see if they have a book I’m after. They pick it up and then I can literally hear them slam the phone down can’t even get someone on the line. Not a great way to get someone to spend money with you but what do I know

The best staff & best coffee around!! You can't beat great coffee & a bookstore together, but the friendly & personable baristas are the very best part!

Absolutely love this bookstore! My favorite independent bookstore! They have AMAZING FRESH COFFEE (BETTER THAN 7BREW)! They also offer a wide range of items that most are locally made! The kids room is adorable and just lovely, such a good place for kids to start a good habit. In this video I’ll show you their amazing collection of vintage/ first editions! It is truly a great cozy welcoming place, just love it so much!
Kid-friendliness: Amazing room dedicated to kids!

Part of my travels comes down to finding the little jewels—mom and pop places that are comfortable, memorable, and relaxing. Chapters on Main is just such a spot. What they offer is great and beats the highway robbery of Starbucks. Nested just opposite of Arkanas & Missouri Railroad, in the warmer months will be a two-for-one spot (maybe three) —coffee, books and trains…Old-World opulence in historic Van Buren, Arkansas. New and used books, coffee and pastries are just part of the charm. I got the Mudslide Cold brew, which was tasty. I overheard the proprietor, Allison, tell another customer, we want the coffee to shine amidst the flavor ups and configurations we offer. I would say they made book based on my choice. Many places like this the offerings are bland and confusing. The crew here is helpful, cheerful, and good at suggesting to a non-coffee aficionado that enjoys coffee but isn't attuned to the lingo.5 Stars all around!
