An Arkansas favorite for 100 years as of 2025. I came here as a kid over 50 years ago. While in Ft. Smith at breakfast I Googled the name expecting no results...I was stunned to see that not only did the Kopper Kettle still exist, but it's factory store was in the original building on old highway 71 just south of Alma, AR. Hands down the best candy in the central United States. ❤️

What a great place to step back into time to the beloved art of candy making and the opportunity to enjoy delicious treats today! This family owned business has been operating since 1925! They have fantastic chocolate and hard candy treats, as well the opportunity to view a window into the world of candy making thanks to the glass walls between customer and kitchen. You can expect nothing less than the friendliness the Ozarks region is famous for; down home country goodness with folks who seem like you've known them forever! From the Carmel apples in the fall to fresh, chocolate dipped strawberries in the spring & summer - you can always find special themes treats to match the season of the year. After Thanksgiving, they host a candy cane making day and provide close up opportunities for children and families to see how candy canes are created! Be sure to stop by their candy making shop/store (also the original location) at 6310 Alma Hwy (Hwy 64) in Van Buren, Arkansas between Van Buren and Alma, Arkansas. They also have a retail space in Fort Smith, Arkansas at 4300 Rogers Avenue.

My parents took me to Copper Kettle when I was a kid. When I started dating in the mid 80s, the Copper Kettle was the first place I'd take my special girl! I have never had chocolate that was as good as the works of art that this wonderful, local establishment makes, even when I was in Europe! Sadly, I live out of state now, but I stop in at the Copper Kettle every time I come "home" to visit.

We got a chocolate drizzled caramel apple and it was the best caramel apple we have ever had. If I could, I would give this amazing candy shop 10 stars. They deserve it!

A candy store that has homemade chocolates you can buy by the pound or by a box. From turtles to fudge and any chocolate candy in between, you will find it here. A candy store with a great atmosphere and everything we ate was delicious! Pralines as well. Definitely stop if you are close and be delighted.
