Really nice, free museum. Very friendly professional staff and the gift shop has some great books for local histories. It’s not huge but has so much value, so if you’re passing through the area you can spend as little or as much time as you want. Clean restrooms, too.

Incredible museum that will hold your attention for hours if you're into East Arkansas archaeology. Be sure you don't miss the Birdman head pot, one of the most amazing pieces of pottery ever uncovered from this ancient culture.
