Very disappointing and unacceptable experience.
I purchased an item online from H&M, and there was absolutely no indication that it was a final sale. According to H&M’s return policy, I had the option to return the item by mail or in-store, and I chose to return it in-store.
At the Abbotsford location, the store manager ( January 12 th , 10:00 a.m ) refused the return, claiming that discounted items cannot be returned. This was despite the fact that there was no note on my receipt or online order stating this. I showed her the return policy, but she refused to listen, kept repeating the same line, and made no effort to help. Her attitude was unprofessional and unfriendly.
This is not a customer mistake — it is poor management and a failure to follow company policy.
Worst H&M branch I have ever dealt with and extremely poor customer service.

Poor customer service by manager mark , he didn’t not accept my return item as we bought just few days ago and quality was not satisfactory of the the stuff and I decided to return and then he refused and not dealing good with me at the counter. Bad experience with the manager mark . They are very bad with the return service and policy. Even I showed the invoice to him. I will complaint this matter to head office of h n m

I've been a customer of H&M stores for over 10 years.
I've always been pleased with the quality of the products and the level of service.
But today, a very unpleasant incident occurred that completely erased all the good things that came before. I write this negative review with a heavy heart. I'm sorry, but I'm saying goodbye forever to this store (3122 Mount Lehman Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2T 6L4).
Here's what happened: on Friday, November 21, 2025, I bought two packages of socks. The size 8-9.5 is written on the top of the package, and the store sticker duplicated the same size. The socks were tightly packed, making it impossible to see the actual size. When I got home and opened one package, I discovered the socks inside were very small and couldn't possibly be a size 8-9.5.
Today, November 24, 2025, at 5:45 pm, I returned to the store and asked for help, simply exchanging the two packages for my size. The cashier said I must have bought women's socks and called the manager. After listening to the problem, the manager said they were children's sizes and the socks were non-returnable. I asked to speak to a supervisor or a senior manager, but they refused. Not only is this store so sloppy with women's, children's, and men's socks all stored in the same place, I think the managers will sort this out. They refused to refund me, even though I have the right to return the item with a receipt, and I haven't used the item because the packaging was intact for 14 days from the date of purchase. It's incredibly sad to be treated like this as a regular customer. And it's outrageous that my consumer rights have been so mercilessly violated.
I won't wish you luck; you don't deserve it...

The store manager and staff were quite cooperative today. Rest assured, just try. They were quite helpful while going over sizes. Also, the billing process went nicely.

Very poor customer service from their supervisor Aman . She doesn’t know how speak English and she does not know anything about customer service and she is in leadership role. She keep repeating one thing again and again. This was not my first time shop at their store or online. The experience I had today it was the worse experience ever, I understand their return policy but she was doesn’t know how to deal with customers. She does not know how to handle the situation and how we control her attitude while talking to customer. Honestly she shouldn’t be in leadership position. I Would like to connect with store manager . Thank you

Cashier was amazing and willing to spend time to price match an online item. I was shocked at how willing they were to help me out. Also the sales are great, and they color code the sale rack really nicely 👌👍

Horrible customer service and store does not know the company's return policies. Would not accept a return of an item bought online because the item is NOW a final sale item. It was not a final sale item at the time of purchase though. They said that it said the item could not be returned on the receipt. It does not. I asked the manager to show me where it said so on the receipt and she could not find it either but insisted that this is the policy online. It is not. After telling me she was the manager she then told me I could bring up the issue with the manager who was out of the country. I stated that she had said she was the manager and she replied that she is also a manager. She told me that because it was a sale item, I needed to return it online (untrue). I stated that if I returned it online there would be a return fee but she said there was no fee (also untrue). It was like talking in circles. I ended up calling customer service who confirmed that I was correct and the store workers were wrong on all accounts. Now hesitant to order anything online because if I have to make returns I will need to deal with this store!
