So I went to Midas to get my break done, two weeks later I went to put new rims on and come to realize that these idiots didn't even put my calliper back together, I've been driving for two weeks and had to do manual to get my calliper back on. They lost one of the bolts for the calliper so i had to go searching for the right bolt. Went back and told them about it. They said I took a picture of another car. Fucking idiots. Ive read a lot of bad reviews, I'm a videographer I'll be making a video about this unprofessional work. HEY MIDAS, LOOK FOR YOUR VIDEO ON YOUTUBE AND ABBOTSFORD CAR GROUPS IN A FEW DAYS. I HOPE YOU LOSE YOUR BUSINESS AND I WILL BE CONTACTING CORPORATIONS AND ETC TO GET MY MONEY BACK. WE'LL BE CONNECTING SOON:)

My catalytic converter was stolen from my vehicle at the beginning of July from the Abbotsford Airport parking lot. I contacted the shop to see if they could do the work, and to ask if they would direct bill to ICBC. The shop owner Margaret, assured me that I could bring the car in, and that they would direct bill the work to ICBC. I was given a quote of $1000, and a timeline of ten days. Magaret told me that they would not do any work on the car until an adjuster from ICBC came to take pictures, and that is why it would take some time to complete. I left the car there in good faith.Fast forward to two weeks later, I have not heard from the shop at all, so I gave them a call. Margaret says that yes, the work has been done "for ages" and that I should come and get the car. When I asked for a total owing, she told me $1455. When I asked her why it was so much, and did she not direct bill to ICBC as promised, she exclaimed that no, they don't do that, because it takes ICBC so long to reimburse them, I would have to submit the receipts myself. I went to pick up the car, and paid the bill, because, what else could I do.When I submitted the invoice to ICBC, the adjuster called me immediately to ask if I had photos of the catalytic converter, before and after the work, as that is required to put the claim through. I called Margaret. Now, she claims that she never said that ICBC would come and do the photos before the work was done, and that the mechanic who worked on my car must have them. She said she would call me back. She never did. So I called her again, and now she claims that the mechanic who did the work is on vacation, but he must have them on his phone. She said she would contact him and get the photos. A few days pass, and I still hear nothing from her. There were a few more calls, where Margaret says she is going to find the photos, but I have to wait until this mechanic is back from holidays. On Monday, when he is supposed to be back at work, I call again, and now Margaret says that ICBC MUST already have the photos, because they ALWAYS send them.So here I am....still waiting for photos that I do not believe were ever taken.Margaret has outright lied to me multiple times, and I am out $1455 because ICBC won't process the claim without them.Either the owner of this shop is dishonest, or she is completely incompetent.Either way, I don't recommend giving them your business. They can't be trusted.

Needing to continue driving on the highway today, these fine folks put our car on the hoist and tightened down some dangerously loss bolts for us on our drive shaft, no charge. We will be going back in the future.

Fast and efficient to help me out when my catalytic converter was stolen. But they didn’t bother to ask if I wanted my o2 sensor replaced as it was very clearly missing as well. Frustrated that the mechanic did not notice, or bother to call and ask if I wanted it replaced.

I took my KIA Optima to Midas to fix some things that needed to be fixed. I needed to have the car pass vehicle inspection/certification since I brought it in the car from the US and need to register it in BC. My biggest concern was that the car occasionally overheats and I had already earmarked a budget for replacing the fan or a major component.Midas took the car in and promised to call me with an estimate before repairs. To my pleasant surprise, I got a call an hour later that the car has been fix AT NO COST. I was told the only thing wrong with the vehicle was an unplugged fan which has been rectified at no charges. The car has also shown no other issue since then. This level of honesty and integrity by Midas is mind blowing for me because I have twice been ripped off by some other mechanic shops in Abbotsford since moving in from Colorado late last year with my other car.I am so pleased to have found Midas and highly recommend them. The staff at Midas is also kind, courteous and professional. They are good at what they do.

The service and quality of work were top notch, good people that do good honest work, I was a bit shocked at the price of some of the parts for my vehicle, my suggestion to them would be not to deal with the supplier that sold them the parts for my truck wherever possible as the supplier also took forever to deliver the parts as well, some of the parts were rare hard to find which is not midas fault but some were overpriced by quite a bit which was a bit surprising to me when I was handed the bill. Overall a good experience and a good rating.

Do not go to this location for any tire related services. My wife went to this location twice to try and get our tires re torqued per standard procedure after a rotation and was told that they don’t need to be done as they have a new “special machine” (called laziness) that torques them. I called every other Midas location in the Fraser valley and they said they have never heard of such a device and always recommend getting them re torqued. Thankfully we found another Midas location that was flabbergasted by the service and told us to stop by to get it taken care of.

We wanted to say about the terrible service we had from Midas Abbotsford. We went there due to an oil pressure light, which turned out to be a faulty sensor. What we were originally told would take 3 hours at a cost of approx $536 ended in a bill for $992 and our car returned three days later. The final invoice did not detail what part was used, the hours spent or the hourly rate. It just said ‘other repairs’ and the cost of the part and labour. Our biggest complaints were:* The lack of communication as to what was happening, nor any request for authorization to continue when they found out they had to do more work than expected, until after they had already put in extra billing hours and car had been taken apart. Car not put back together until day 3.* Promises to return the vehicle that were not kept e.g., originally told to pick up the vehicle at end of 1st day, only to be told that car would not be ready until the next day, then found out later on 2nd day that mechanic was not working that day, then told it would be ready at lunchtime on 3rd day, only to be told it was not ready and to collect it mid afternoon.* Mechanic said they had to re-tap as lost threading despite car having done only 22,000 km* Mechanic forgot he wasn’t working on 2nd day and repairer did not allow other mechanics to work on the vehicle* When calling to make a complaint, the call was cut short as had another customer to serve. This is why people don’t trust car repairers and I would never go to Midas again.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This company should be ashamed of themselves. To do a job on someone's work truck, assuring them picking it up at 5pm is totally fine; finish the job by 2 and tell the person they must be there in 15mins to pick it up because they want to go home early, when he can't leave work to pick it up. And then say he can't get it until Monday, leaving him stranded to be able to pick up his kids, and lose $1000++ on work he couldn't do. The owner lives 5 minutes away, and he wouldn't go back to give him his truck. Police were phoned, because what else can you do?Cops told the guy to meet him at 1 today to give him his truck. Thankfully he showed up, without an apology or anything.Your service is shaddy man. Be ashamed, same goes for the receptionist who said 5pm would be fine.Shame shame shame. Never would I ever go to your establishment. And better business bureau will be contacted.

Excellent mechanics but the woman who owns this business is BRUTAL! She trumps her mechanics quotes and decisions and is very rude about it. She had the whole waiting room in awe with her rude behavior. She is a detriment to her business. If you don't mind dealing with extremely rude people, this is the place for you!

I had my vehicle towed to these wonderful people as it had given up the ghost on the highway.. Not only were they honest about the car's condition but after realizing I needed to rent a car to get home they were kind enough to drive us to the Rental office. They are sweet, polite and wonderfully kind owners - would recommend anyone to them at anytime :D
