Very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I was sold the wrong pair of shoes — both shoes were for the right foot. This should have been caught at checkout, but it wasn’t.
I expect better attention to detail and customer service, especially when purchasing footwear. This situation caused unnecessary inconvenience and frustration. Hoping the store improves staff training and quality checks.

This location engaged in a misleading and unacceptable practice involving a senior citizen customer.
The customer was explicitly told that cash was not accepted, except for the purchase of gift cards. As a result, the customer was effectively forced to convert cash into a SoftMoc gift card in order to complete a purchase.
This is a deceptive practice. Store staff are fully aware that purchases made with gift cards cannot be refunded in cash and must be returned to the original form of payment—in this case, store credit. By directing the customer to use a gift card, the store deliberately removed the customer’s ability to receive a proper refund if the product did not fit or needed to be returned.
This conduct is especially concerning given that it involved a senior citizen, a group that deserves clarity, transparency, and fair treatment. Whether intentional or due to poor training, this practice is misleading, unethical, and unacceptable in a retail environment.
Forcing gift card purchases as a workaround to avoid cash refunds is wrong and should not be tolerated.
The staff also do not speak in English or French while on the sales floor, instead choosing to speak in their native language with each other. That is disrespectful to both other staff and the customers in the store.
One Customer over heard a conversation and showed a facial expression of disgusted with what they overheard.

The girl (don't remember her name but she was a manager)who helped with my winter boots was really knowledgeable and helpful.

Worst customer service experience. The manager on duty was not knowledgeable and seemed unsure how to handle basic situations. Product tags were incorrect throughout the store, which caused confusion. There are also serious safety concerns — multiple large ladders were left on the floor, creating a clear hazard for customers. This store needs better management, proper staff training, and immediate attention to safety standards.

I came here last week the employees were super kind, but that lady sharan I think? She is full of attitude. Honestly, it’s insane how angry that lady got when I asked her a question? I get it people have good and bad days but every time I have come to soft moc she does not know how to be kind to the staff or customers. This is terrible, only soft moc I can come too and now I will not be coming any longer untill I see some changes!

The manger is terrible and so rude. She doesn’t not know how to talk to her employees and customers. She doesn’t not show any respect to anyone! I will not be coming back here ever. Don’t waste your time! Drive to another soft moc instead were you will be respected and helped by someone who is happy with there job and not angry and unkind.

Stopped by the SoftMoc in Abbotsford and had a great experience. The staff were super friendly and didn’t rush me at all — really appreciated the laid-back, helpful vibe. They had a solid selection of shoes and boots, and the team actually knew their stuff when it came to sizing and comfort. Prices were fair, and the store was tidy and easy to browse. All in all, a smooth and pleasant shopping trip. Would definitely come back again!

A lovely store with tons of variety in name brands. My daughter got a pair of UGGS & a pair of VANS with both on sale as an added bonus. The sales associate Brenden was so helpful & cheerful 😊. If you need shoes and you are near Sevenoaks Mall they are your go to.
