Had some work done last May in a bit of a time constraint. They really delivered. Unfortunately 6 months there was a small leak around the work that was completed. They warrantied their work and were very open and honest about it. Top marks for this boys!!

Amazing services and knowledgeable staff! Came in unexpectedly with a flat and was welcomed in a timely fashion amongst their busy schedule. Staff were knowledgeable and informative to the cause and solution, and discussed other issues found throughout the service!

My truck had broken down in Lynden on my way to Seattle (alternator), this was the closest shop to where I was so I got a jumpstart and drove straight to it. I’ve never been to this shop, not a usual customer there, but Scotty and his team were able to accommodate me immediately. They didn’t turn me away, found the needed parts and had the job done as quick as they could. They were kind and friendly with a sense of humour that brought a bit of relief to my stressful situation.

Had the dual exhaust done on my 1951 Chevy Coupe, the finished product was like a work of art, perfect symmetry. Couldn't have asked for better quality and service.

2018 VW Golf Sport wagon.Asked for my water pump to be replaced. Quoted me $900 said I could come drop it off in a week.Did so and their staff kindly drove me home after.Following day, I pay for a taxi to work.Mid afternoon that day, I get a call saying the quote is now around $1300.I ask what changed to make the price $1300They said oil change ($100~) and pressure test as well as additional labor.I said I did not ask for an oil change or a pressure test to be done, you're the third shop I've asked to change the water pump, please just change the water pump. I'm a mechanic, not just some random woman, I know what I'm talking about. He got the price down to $1100 I said go ahead at that price. He calls back a few min later saying he's also a mechanic (like I hope so, you work at a shop....) And due to my money constraints he will no longer be servicing my vehicle and that I can come pick it up. They recommend I take it to Volkswagen. (Which I am doing now but this all could have been avoided had they properly assessed the situation prior to me dropping my car off)How unprofessional to quote $900 originally then try charging me for things I did not ask for.(Also ran the pressure test without asking me prior)When I picked up my vehicle I was not charged for any service. (2 stars for no charge and not having to argue this)I've never used Midas before and after this unfavorable experience I will continue not using their services.

Posting for a family friend, as a Mechanic myself, working in a different role now due to back issues, I know what the procedures are for the repairs on these vehicles.Midas worked on a Newer Duramax in a Chevy Silverado Pickup, replacing a rear Thermostat. The housing comes off to do the repair, requiring removing or loosening the hoses that attach the housing to the engine components. The housings have molded rubber hoses on them which can easily be damaged if due care is not taken. Once the repair was done, they released the vehicle our friend. The standard procedure from most shops is to pressure test the cooling system after a repair. Especially one in a location such as this to verify a leak is not present as it can take time to show under the vehicle. They clearly did not test it because same day it was leaking and was not just residual fluid, it leaked continuously and never did before they worked on it. The vehicle went in because the rear thermostat housing was sticking and the heat was not working before. Since the repair, the rubber hose now has a leak and they will not accept accountability for their mistake. They claim it wasn't their fault and won't fix the leak on the hose, once the owner tried speaking with them, trying to get them to understand this had to be an issue with the repair and should be covered, he was told to "Take his truck and leave".In a case like this, the shop should have paid the labor at least for repair. Even if they claim the part was not their fault, because you failed to test the vehicle and verify the repair was done and it was in good operating condition before releasing it to the customer. Instead, they kick them out and now have to pay for the mistake Midas made on the vehicle. My professional advice as a red seal heavy duty mechanic, and someone who is well known and respected in the diesel industry, do not take your truck here!!!Go to Valley Fuel Injection in Abbotsford, or anywhere else. Bob's Driveline is great and honorable in Aldergrove.

** BREAK REPLACEMENT FAILURE **.I had my brakes replaced at this location. Break and callipers.I came back to the shop because I heard metal on metal on my front right tire. They told me it was fine.Less than a month later my break calliper completely fell off!! My breaks failed and myself and my child could have died. The guys at the front desk are wonderful to deal with. But that doesn’t excuse this complete disaster.Would not recommendService: Brakes

There’s a reason I drive all the way from central Vancouver to Aldergrove to get my tires changed.I trust them. The person who recommended them to me has been trusting them for 20+ years. There have even been times I’ve come in for particular work and they’ve advised me I don’t need it and to come back in 4 months. ??
