McKay Bay Lodge

McKay Bay Lodge is a very cozy, family-owned fishing lodge in Bamfield, BC, known as a great spot to unwind and fish. It offers a wonderful West Coast vibe. Guests describe it as the best fishing lodge in the area, with a great marina. Accommodations include nice cozy updated fishing lodge type rooms and a creekside cabin, noted as spacious and comfortable with very comfortable beds. The staff is very accommodating, going out of their way to make stays comfortable. They provide transportation, picking guests up from the government dock and driving them around the area as needed. The food is a major highlight, with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. The meal plans are well worth the value, and the staff will modify meals if asked. Throughout the day, lots of drinks and home baked cookies and snacks are available to all guests. The lodge offers excellent fishing charters and whale watching tours with amazing guides. Nearby activities include Bradys Beach, a beautiful beach about two kilometers down the road, and tours to the Kiixin First Nations site across the bay. The location is considered super safe. The view from the deck is great, making it a perfect dog-friendly spot that feels like coming home. Guests highly recommend it and consistently plan to return.
