About Vancouver Island Regional Library - Bella Coola

The Bella Coola library branch offi­cially opened on April 9, 1981, in a tiny room with a collection of 4,000 books. In 1985, the library expanded when it took over the site of the old bank. It opened at its new location in the Co-op building in 2012 and is an important community resource for residents of every age.
