Great location. Friendly staff. Pool was clean and warm. Marina is very nice as well as the beach. Restaurants are walking distance as well as a great grocery store across the road.Nearby activities: There is lots to do. Warm heated pool, large games room, gym, beach, marina, grassy area, playground, large sand area with toys for kids. Walking distance from the resort were 3 restaurants, a great grocery store with gas, liquor and ice cream! A five minute drive away was a world class golf coarse as well as an open air mall with more restaurants, as well as some great little shops.

Beware / Greedy Management!! Paid in full for a Trailer spot and a Marina slip booked for my family vacation starting Aug 19th - 27. Despite the fire raging across the lake, the Provincial State of Emergency & the Minister of Transportation explicitly requesting not to travel to the Shuswap area that week - the management will not refund my $850. Firstly they attempted to persuade me to come up and carry on with my vacation, then i was offered to re-book in the "off season" and finally they advised me I may be eligible for a refund (depending on how their insurance shakes out). On August 18th I made it clear I wasnt coming and specifically asked they give my spots to displaced victims of the fire instead / they refused and elected to keep my money and the campsite and boat slip empty. Shame on you Blind Bay RV Resort!!

This wasn’t our first stay at blind bay resort, but I'm not sure we would want to stay again. Here is a list of pros and cons, maybe it will help you choose if it’s right for you. We rented an on-site trailer in the A loop.Pros:-They are located across the street from a small shopping centre that is very much “one stop shopping” food/booze/deli/ice cream-They have a small pool. A bit small for our big kids/teenagers but adequate and clean if you have young children.-Sites are large, well maintained and most have a shed for use.-Grounds are kept very clean-The staff are kind-My kids enjoyed the Rec room-Lots of stuff to do in the area: restaurants, boat rentals, beaches, hikes, wineries...Cons:-The entire lower portion of the campground is rancid with the smell of sewage. So much so it’s difficult to sit outside as nothing will mask the smell. The camp staff said they were working on it, but I was there 7 years ago and it stunk then, so it doesn't seem like a high priority. I only returned because I assumed it would have been fixed by now. The A block seems to be the most affected.-I was unable to connect to wifi all week despite daily attempts and speaking with the staff-The main office has very short hours, and we often had trouble finding staff to ask questions, or get support. We had an incident around 10am in the morning where my friend was attacked by another camper’s dog, and locating campground staff for support was very difficult as the office didn't open until 1pm, which is different than the hours posted on the website. They did, however have the dog removed from the campground within a few hours once they were involved.-I did not see the gift shop open once during our stay, even during posted hours. It’s a shame as we usually love little campground shops.-Beach was unusable due to the lake being lower than usual. Not the campground’s fault, but a heads up prior to check in would have saved us from having to make alternate plans for beach days last minute.-The highway alongside the campground can be noisy-The camper we rented, though sizeable, was in desperate need of a deep clean. Carpets need steaming (they are stained and dingy), the bedroom smelled like body odor, linens looked old and outdated. It’s nothing some elbow grease and a carpet cleaner couldn’t resolve but it does seem very past-due. The camper was also missing a lot of things. No wine glasses, no cheese shredder, no bath mat, no cutting board. The shower sprayed in all directions and right into your face meaning we had to use the campground shower. I was hoping for a little more comfort.-The campground only had one working shower the entire time we were here.-The gym is small. I was surprised by this as they charge a membership fee for non-guests to use it so I expected it to be ample to entice outside members to join. We didn't bother using it as it didn't appear to meet our needs. Some of these issues might not bother others but for us, this has deterred us from wanting to return.

We rented a RV site for one week in august. The resort is well maintained and rather clean, however, there was an overwhelming and pungent smell of sewage the time that was very off putting. It was to the point we were lighting candles and mosquito disks to try and mask the smell. Would not stay here again unless that issue is solved. It was truly overwhelming. We had some guests for a visit and they all agreed.

We booked this rental (VRBO) as a last minute vacation for our family as it was one of the only places available in the area. There was little to no description about the property on the listing. Initially communication was quick, but then nonexistent over the weekend prior to our arrival. Upon arrival, there was a large amount of paperwork to fill out (that was unexpected). Definitely not the streamlined process that we’ve had with all of the other VRBO properties we’ve stayed at. Once we climbed the almost 30 stairs to our unit (located over a restaurant), our initial thought that while it was a bit sparse and dated, it did seem clean. As we lived in the space, we found this was not the case. For example, there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of a door, a deflated balloon hanging from the curtain rod, clothes behind the washing machine, crumbs in the cracks of the couch cushions, frying pans crusted with food, dirty curtains, no screen on the kitchen window or bedroom window. Also fridge door handle was cracked, holes in the bedsheets, and an intermittently working light in the master. Closet doors were broken or missing. Screw holes or actual screws sticking out of the wall. The air conditioning units are not enough to cool the whole space. I brought some of these concerns to the office on site and was met with an apathetic attitude and no apology. They did give us an extra frying pan since the ones provided were too small to do much with. We ended up leaving a day early and they wouldn’t refund our boat slip even though we left before they said a day would be charged. No check out instructions given Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we wouldn’t recommend it.

We have stayed here a couple times. Each camper is very different as well as what's inside. Location is great. We love that it's quiet and relaxing. No crazy parties. I think with plastic stuff ( bowels, plates, cup...) its important to double check it's cleaned proper. Some dishes have been dirt or poorly cleaned. As well, the smell of toilet on our last visit made it horrible to enjoy sitting outside at night.Staff is very nice, pool is clean, bathrooms are clean and as I said for the most part it's always enjoyable.

I wish I could of given a 5 start review, but the RV sites A1- A8 are extremely noisy! These sites back onto the Main Street and the truck traffic is terrible! 4am the trucks start rolling through. On a positive note, the pool and beach were great, lots kept clean. If you want any sleep during your vacation, stay elsewhere.
