I work in the film industry and Acme is a great place to get props and set dressing. The staff are super awesome and friendly. They have one of the biggest selections available in the lower mainland.

Acme is truly a special place in the film industry. A family owned business that has been passed down through generations, with management and staff that go the extra mile for their customers. Their prices are competitive and they have an excellent selection of props. Almost anything you could think of - Acme will have it! Dee has gone out of her way to meet the needs of my team and has even come in on weekends and early mornings to help us when we are working with tight timelines. Huge thank you to the entire team at Acme for always providing excellent service for set dec and prop rentals.

If you're coming from anything that's not a large scale production don't bother coming here. It is true that Acme has an amazing selection of items but if you don't come in looking to spend thousands of dollars the staff treats you drastically different. Time and time again I was ignored when walking in, people were unwilling to help me, sometimes I would come in and receive instructions from one person and then Dee would yell at me for not doing something different. I've reviewed some of the other reviews as well and I do agree that the crew seems very efficient and will get the job done. However, I have also witnessed that THAT level of efficiency comes at the cost of Dee making her employees cry time and time again. I always try to avoid renting from Acme if possible, it is very unfortunate that they have a monopoly of antique items in Vancouver and sometimes there is no other choice but to rent from them. I've worked in the industry for years with abusive supervisors / prop masters / production designers but I never came quite as close to crying as I was being lectured by Dee.

Been going to this place for almost a year now weekly. Not only do they have a great selection of props, they have a great team. We mostly work with Dana, Erin and Dee but all their team members are so helpful and friendly.Highly recommend this place!

It’s not worth going here anymore and most buyers don’t bother. They were always a bit of an amateur outfit but they used to make it because they tried hard, and had a couple of knowledgeable employees who put out a good energy and made the place enjoyable to go to. It is now the exact opposite, I don’t like the attitude or vibe of the environment, and no one there is knowledgeable. They don’t know what products they have or where they are in their own inventory. I can no longer be bothered
