I purchased a dishwasher from Best Buy with an extended warranty. The dishwasher started leaking and stopped working within the warranty period, and the leak caused water damage to my house.
A repair technician from Audio Video Electronics inspected the appliance and told me that the dishwasher has a mechanical fault causing it to leak. He told me that the fault likely falls under the extended warranty coverage and that the dishwasher should be repaired or, more likely, replaced. He specifically recommended that it be replaced.
However, several weeks have now passed, and I have not received any compensation, replacement, or follow-up. I escalated the issue to two different managers at Best Buy Park Royal, yet I still haven’t received a meaningful response or resolution. I suspect there is a miscommunication between Best Buy and Audio Video Electronics, and as a result, nobody is taking accountability for resolving my claim.
I am very disappointed with the lack of accountability and customer service.
UPDATE: It has now been several weeks with no response, no accountability, and no resolution. This has been an extremely disappointing customer service experience, and I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

The worse service I have ever experienced. Do not use them. they are unreliable and give you the run around . Very unprofessional. The staff and management do not return calls or emails and bounce you from person to person. Very frustrating experience

I purchased a Samsung HW-Q950T soundbar from Visions Electronics in Airdrie (Sierra Springs) on November 5, 2020, along with a 5-year extended warranty.
In September 2025, the subwoofer started popping and crackling during movies and music. After trying multiple HDMI cables and outlets with no success, I contacted the store and was directed to Audio Video Electronics for warranty repair.
The service center replaced the soundbar’s main board, but the issue continued. After returning it, I was told a new subwoofer would be ordered and tested. When I picked up the unit, I was told the subwoofer was “brand new”, but the same issue occurred immediately after testing at home.
I brought it back again to Audio Video Electronics, taking time off work since the repair shop operates only weekdays 9–5. The technician confirmed the subwoofer was new but admitted testing only with “bass-heavy music” rather than proper bass sweep tests. The technician was unaware of what a bass sweep was. I requested they do more accurate testing to reproduce the fault.
After multiple visits and nearly two months, the subwoofer still pops and crackles.
I was told it was my source, or my HDMI cables, or my TV, and even my internet. After testing using only my phone, the Youtube app and bluetooth, I was still able to reproduce the issue. I provided them videos of the issue and they proceeded to tell me it must be something else in my environment causing the issues.
It was only on October 21, 2025, after Visions customer service interjected, that I was told, by Visions customer service, repairing the item was not economical.
I'd skip this place and ask Visions if there's another business that can do the repair instead.

Our huge TV had audio but black screen issue. The staff was super nice and helpful while receiving us. Kent is very skilled, knowledgeable and provides excellent customer service. He repaired our TV, explaining us patiently and assured us that it will have no further issue. He's great at what he does and said to call him if ever there's need. His tips on TV care are worth considering. Thank you, Kent. Your positivity makes the day easy.

This idiot place charge your $125 for a assessment fee for a oblivious damage. THEN they charge you a crazy amount of fees for repair which is forcing you guve up the repair. They'll make money through assessment rather than actual repair

Do not use this company, they will charge you for diagnosis and wont tell you what is wrong with your appliance. They will tell you something needs replacement but they can't promise will fix the issue. once you pay them they ghost you, only way they come back is for you to pay them again even though you pay them the first time and they didn't fix the issue.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Rude, argumentative, lying and not afraid to swear at their customers. Stay away as far as you can...
Going by the number of negative and similar reviews it should not be long before they disappear. I would also encourage all unhappy customers to complaint to Samsung, Vision or BestBuy. It is a shame that such reputable companies use Audio-Video Electronics for their warranty service.

The service was good from beginning to end.
I first spoke with Kent the same day that Samsung submitted a repair request. Kent seemed very professional and straight to the point. He asked some questions to get a better idea what was going on. I sent him an email which he followed-up on promptly. He told me how the process would play out from there.
Jaspreet, who communicated with me via email and set up the appointments was also a great help and really quick with replies.
A couple of days later, I had Muyasser and Nima pay me a visit. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. They explained everything as they were doing it, and spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting the issue as it was a but complex. They isolated the issue and said they would need to order a new panel for the TV. Within two business days they arranged for another visit to replace the panel. Again, both were friendly and totally competent. The OLED panel was replaced and the TV looked great.
I have no complaints and would recommend this repair and service centre to anyone. They are efficient and professional. Thanks to all for the great job!

Regret ever purchasing extended warranty for my tv as Geek Squad is great but Audio Video Electronics as the cerified technician fail to deliver customer service and tv repair services. Their technician go so far as to tell me my broken tv is the new working normal and is supposed to be that way, like what no sound from my tv mean it is working just fine ????

Truly horrifying experience. Called to get clarification on how to process a warranty claim. The lady I first spoke to was fine, but then she handed me off to someone else (not sure if it was the manager or owner) who was verbally abusive. Instead of helping, I was yelled at and repeatedly called "stupid" for purchasing that ac unit. I strongly encourage others to avoid this company and any other company using them to fulfill their warranties, e.g. Visions electronics, Samsung, etc.

If it was possible to leave NEGATIVE stars for this company I would. My device has 2+ years of warranty left. They are refusing me service and lying to geek squad about why they dont want to service our device. Now geek squad has explained to us that we are required to find a different company,get a quote . Then we must have the quote approved by geek squad before we procced with service. Huge waste of time and energy. This is all because their technician gave us incorrect advice and we did what he suggested. This is how both these companies treat their customers. Disgusting and dirty tactics by both.
