I've always appreciated BMO's services and frequently recommended them to friends. On November 14, 2023, I phoned BMO for a new credit card, opting for delivery to a local branch for prompt use. The phone service indicated I could collect it as early as November 17, Friday. Yet, to be certain of its arrival, I chose to wait until Tuesday evening, November 22.At the bank, after showing my ID, the staff inquired if I had received a phone notification. I hadn't and noted the phone service hadn't mentioned this requirement. Despite my clarification, the staff appeared impatient, cursorily checked some envelopes, and reported my card hadn't arrived. It was just after 4 PM, nearing closing time, making me question whether his haste affected the search.The following day, contacting BMO's phone service, I obtained my card's tracking number. It revealed the card had been at the bank since November 16, Thursday. Returning to the branch, I encountered a similar query about a phone call. After insisting and providing the recipient's name, they finally retrieved my card.This raised questions: 1. Was it necessary to await a branch call? There should be consistency between phone and in-person services. 2. Why no phone notification in the two and a half working days post-arrival? 3. It took 8 days from application to receipt, potentially longer if waiting for a call. What then differentiates branch pickup from home delivery in terms of time? Avoiding customer time wastage is crucial, as pointless trips can be frustrating and mood-dampening.

On Oct 7th, 2023 I rushed to this BMO branch to get some banking matters processed because they will be closed for the next 2 days. The posted closing hours for today is 4pm. When I got there at 3:45pm all the lights were already turned off, doors locked and not a single employee in sight. I can only guess that the employees left way before I even got there. As a professional establishment, if your posted hours are until 4pm, that is when you should be closing your doors. This level of customer service is unacceptable when dealing with customer's finances. If the employees are paid until 4pm, that is also when they should be working until. Otherwise it should be considered theft of time.

Love the fact that there're staffs who can speak more than 1 language and you can easily know that by their name's tag. They're very welcoming and accomodating. The teller was efficient and understanding. I recommended BMO to my sister and she opened a bank account with them very quickly. It's very close to my place as well.

After being a Bank of Montreal customer for 11 years, I have decided to move to Scotiabank and TD as a result of today's interaction with one of this branch's staffs.I have the option of banking with other banks with closer branches to where I live, but I decided to drive three times that distance to get a bank draft here. We have BMO Ultimate Plan, so I was pretty sure bank drafts are free for us. I just wanted a confirmation that that is the case. Instead of checking that up for me, this branch staff has completed the bank draft purchase without ever confirming the fees, and instead directed me to the ATM counter and check up the fees myself in the booklet - all while giving the dissatisfied expression of asking such a request. While I have encountered long lines at other branches, I have never been treated this way until today.Our bank accounts have just about $50k in cash, minus the bank draft I have purchased today. But, our combined house hold investments and holdings across all BMO subsidiaries are over $600k. This may be small amount for a bank, but I will not tolerate being treated this way when we have these kinds of assets being held with BMO.Thank you for having me as a customer for the past 11 years. But, I have other banking options available one third of the distance away.

Jay's comment is spot on. just got back from schlepping over there and bleedin door's locked!And it's freezing outside!Not the first time this has happened with this branch which is pretty much my main go to even though I opened account at another branch. Hastings/Willingdon is closest to my place.A while back apparently some servicing was done to the main door. Brilliant tech forgot to reset after completing repairs. As a result at around 9ish or so during the summer I nor others were able to access their accounts!Really, this is unacceptable from one of the largest if not the largest banks in the country!Btw, to clarify, the star is only there because I am forced to give one or else I can't post.There's stuff to say about that too. Certainly was in no mood to be giving out any!

NOT OPEN 24/7 ATM. Big and rich banks like BMO should have all branches open 24/7 for ATM access.

I've had negative experiences every time I have been to this bank. Staff seem like they have no idea what they are doing and completely lost. Both times I have been here recently I left feeling really frustrated and didn't get the help I was looking for. Avoid this branch at all costs.

The security alarm system goes off for hours in the evening everyday and it’s annoying AF. Don’t leave the windows in the building open if no one is there, it is just negligible and you are a bank, doesn’t that violate some sort of security breech? Don’t ask me to email you just to have someone contact me. If you have time to write a response to my review then I’m sure you have time to send this to the branch manager. Just copy and paste the text, take a screenshot, do whatever you need but just resolve this problem if you are kind human beings. Be a nice neighbour please and thanks :)

I was wanting to get some help with starting investments. I set an appointment online and was matched with Damon Cao. Damon was extremely helpful, thorough and nice. He took the time to explain to us about our different investment options, and was patient in answering all our questions. He was very knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use Damon Cao as my Financial Advisor and would recommend seeing him for investments.
