Efficient lab with friendly techs and convenient walk in only setting. They were open on time even a few minutes early in the middle of a bad snow storm!

Lifelab at 7885 6th St #104, Burnaby, BC V3N 3N4 seriously needs to address their online check-in system. The whole idea of an online system is to expedite the process, but even after checking in online, I was still subjected to a long wait in line. It completely defeats the purpose and feels like a faux convenience. They need to reevaluate and improve their system for it to be of any real benefit to their customers.

It was efficient! Got here on weekday at 8:30 am, it was a bit busy in the waiting area and my total wait was about 30 mins. But overall, there wasn't any issues.Since I didn't make an appointment, I was prepared to wait 30 mins + if not more. As long as you have everything they required (form + health care card) and answered all the questions they asked you (basic info, ex: names, dob, address and phone #) then you'll be all good. Play on your phone, read a book, listen to a podcast and your time will go faster :)

I watched 3 MLAs (blood collectors) go between patients for about 10 minutes and not one washed or sanitized their hands. When I asked my MLA why they don’t sanitize hands between patients, she told me that they don’t need to because they change gloves. As a healthcare worker myself, I know that it is absolutely required to sanitize between each patient, even with gloves. This is dangerous and gross. I won’t be back.

Busy! The team behind the counter was quite efficient. The waiting customers that kept interrupting and being rude was what was slowing them down. Be a good patient patient.

What is the point of being appointment only if those with appointments need to wait an hour or more to be seen?Such a waste of time!!I arrived at 10:05 for my 10:20 appointment, got checked in after waiting 15 mins and am still waiting at 11:10. What's worse is this test just requires me to drink a glucose drink and wait an hour ---- why couldn't they just give me the drink and save me the double wait?!Editing to say the staff were all extremely kind here and the wait was partly due to a medical emergency so my initial 1 star is now a 3.

Some receptionists are really hard to deal with, very very hard. Put in mimd that we are all humans and need some good, polite and kind treatment. Everybody is stressed and with a lot of problems, not only you.

I was in and out within 15 minutes! If you check in online using the Save My Spot app, it saves a lot of time. All the staff were courteous and efficient.

Although it is walk-in only (no appointments), every time I've been this year I have been checked in quickly and had a short wait time for blood tests. The staff person at the front desk is efficient! Free parking lot and free parking in the neighbourhood (e.g., less than a block away on 11th Ave)

This is one of the best LifeLabs locations in Burnaby. The staff are super friendly, and very efficient. Although it is on the East side of Burnaby, and Metrotown is more central, I am in an out of here in 15 minutes using save my spot. This is a highly recommended location. Thank you everyone. :)

I am a 60 year old man with leukaemia. I booked a save my spot at this location and walked a kilometre to get there. When I got there I found 8 people lined up in the hallway outside with no attendant to deal with them, 10 people in the office (too many too close together during a pandemic-you should really have someone managing this mayhem) and 1 nurse working and one person sitting in the blood testing area patiently waiting for a nurse. That's at least a 2 hour wait, and this place closes before that. Lifelabs? Useless. You're better off going to the lab at VGH.
