Their pharmacy staff is too rude. They don't have basic politeness. They ask your privacy questions from a distance openly and loudly. I have never experienced this before for so many years. They say it is the law to do it. I will never go to this store in the future.

Pharmacy at this location:- I dropped off my prescription only for them to misplace the original- when I came by to pick up my medication, it was not even in their system- my prescription was not processed until 5 days after I dropped it off which was another delay- the pharmacist assured me they would be ready for pick up, only to find out that ‘they could not find it’- I saw at the back of their counter there were two visible bins full of weekly prescriptions- pharmacy assistant didn’t even bother to check if my meds were there, they said they ‘couldn’t find it’ ?- then expected me to pay for medication that will be dispensed in 2 weeks time even though my insurance covers my medicationOverall:- lack of communication, lack of transparency and unsafe handling and processing of medications in a safe and timely matter- all of this is very time consuming, unnecessary and upsetting as there was nobody who would take accountability for the pharmacy’s medication errorsLike no, if you have loved ones who have to take insulin, blood pressure medication or blood thinners. I highly suggest to find another branch or pharmacy altogetherIf they can’t even oversee the handling and processing of your medications and they cannot even be honest about owning up to their mistakes, why would you trust them in preparing life saving medication for your elderly loved ones?????

I went to pick up a prescription for a family member who dropped it off in the afternoon. He was told that it would be ready at 4.30pm. When I get there at 6pm, they tell me to come tomorrow as it is not available. I called another pharmacy and they said that they had the medication. I asked for the prescription to be transferred there and suddenly the staff found the medication. They said it was because the staff was not able to reach the higher up shelf. But how is that my problem? I think that they maintain inventory on the computer or is that inaccurate? Anyway, a disappointing experience overall. It's not like it's all free. They do charge a fee apart from the medication and the service is not good.

Sent in prescription refill on Friday, showed up on Sunday and they say it's not ready. Ask if it is going to be ready by Tuesday, they say yes. Show up Tuesday, they say it's not ready. Tell them I need this filled by Wednesday or I run out of meds. Show up Wednesday, they have 30% of my prescription. Not the first time they've delayed or lost my prescription. They have even withheld one of my medications because my insurance would not cover the cost since I had picked up an emergency supply a few days before (because they lost my prescription). Did not even ask if I wanted to just pay the $4 out of pocket. Was picking up a few prescriptions that day and did not notice it wasn't in there until I got home. One of the other prescriptions I had was a three month supply that expired after one month.

You can help this pharmacy out by going elsewhere. The service is so bad, they regularly just stop answering the phone. I never had so much trouble getting prescriptions filled. Seriously, having fewer patients will help them get on top of the work.

If I could give this a negative raying number I would. I switched to Old Orchard from another location because my previous pharmacist moved here. Unfortunately, I don't think the staff came with her because this is now the worst pharmacy I've ever had the disappointment to deal with. I have had my prescription delivered to the wrong apartment, I've been given the wrong amount of medication, they shorted me without letting me know, and then took days for them to figure that out after I called. I've been put on hold so many times and forgotten. I've been hung up on. They are always short of medication, which really screws up repeats if you have it, because they can't seem to keep track of what you're supposed to have. Sadly, I give up and I'll be looking for another Pharmacy Because it's just problem after problem.

Shoppers pharmacy dispensed me the wrong strength of an injection. Walked out of pharmacy and realized I was given the wrong item. They took it back said “oops”and told me to go to another shoppers to pick it up. What a complete waste of my time. Service was super slow (assistants couldn’t even find my prescription when I showed up, took them 15min to find it). The assistant was adamant that it was the right strength and I had to ask her to ask pharmacist to confirm. Do not use this pharmacy, they will give you the wrong medication.

I have been using this pharmacy for the last 15 years and absolutely LOVED it until about 3 months ago.Staff would call me when my medication was ready for pickup, or I could call and get through to the pharmacist within a couple minutes if I needed to.A few months ago they either fired all the old pharmacy staff or they moved on, I can't see an entire team moving on in the same month.Last week to pick up a prescription that had been ready for a few days. The girl who was helping me couldn't locate my medication. 15 mins later she found it where she had initially looked. There were 7 girls working and all of them seemed to be interns or fresh out of school. There was a lineup of frustrated people waiting. The girl asked me for my name address and phone number before she would give me my medication. My name address and phone number are my own PERSONAL, CONFIDENTAL information.Anybody standing in line can hear the PERSONAL information thestaff is asking for.I'm pretty sure we have privacy legislation that allows us not to disclose personal information in a public place! My prescription was for a month supply of a medication that keeps me out of the hospital. They originally gave me a 4 day supply, after I argued they doubled it and blamed it on a drug shortage. I can understand the shortage if that is really the case.I then asked the pharmacist to check other shoppers locations for stock, she informed me they cant and that I have to call around myself to each pharmacy.Shoppers should learn from Canadian Tire or Home Depot. If I check for an item at a certain store and it is out of stock they will check other locations to see where I can get what I am looking for.I am also on auto refill for some medications, one auto refill was due yesterday and guess what, IT IS NOT READY!!!!!

The service at this store now (Sept. 2023) is worse than it has ever been. I spent long time on phone waiting to speak to someone in Pharmacy. No answer. Just keep waiting. When you do speak to someone the info you get is different than what you have been told before. The answer I get - not enough staff in the pharmacy. Had terrible experience in the store.

I would give ZERO…..0….. I faxed my own prescription 2 days ago, before even discharge from the hospital.. it is an important medications for me to take and have follow up with my General Physician to assess my meds if working or not after starting my new prescription. My 3rd day today for not taking my hypertensive & cholesterol meds.. I called 3 days in a row to follow up and they just kept saying… we are working on it!! I never got a phone call or txt if my meds are ready…it takes 10-20mins to reach pharmacist as well.. dunno but I guess the staffs are just ignoring phone calls or not wanting people to call them at work. The service is awful!!!

I had come to collect my medications and the pharmacist reviewed my medication list in front of every one while the document that I was made to sign explicitly indicates that the conversation has to be in private. It is uncomfortable to talk in details about your medications and their impact or the reasob why you are on while other people are queued up behind you. Also when i came home I realized I have a message from today morning from the pharmacy regarding pick up for another medication of mine but the pharmacist while checking my information didn't bother despite my telling her while going through the medication list that i had requested a refill. I now will have to make an additional trip.

I'd give 0 starts if I could. The service is awful here. I tried doing a simple return for a sunscreen and the customer service manager refused to take it claiming I must go to the original location I purchased it. I said the location is completely out of my way and that I've never heard of a shoppers policy where I needed to go to a specific store for a return. They were rude, blunt, and unhelpful. I left shaking my head because they were so rude! I've returned sunscreen in different locations before. This was ridiculous. I then drove all the way to the downtown location they told me to go and the worker in the downtown location said that I could've returned the sunscreen at any location and that it's not a policy for the customer to go to the EXACT store they purchased the product. I strongly recommend that the owner of this burnaby location makes a few changes with the employment here because I'm never entering this location ever again and letting my friends know about this location and staff.

Horrible service, I was going to have to wait 36 hours for mine and my sons asthma medication because they never called when my prescription was approved by my Dr and was going to take 4 and a half hours to fill. Went next door to Save On Foods and was told 20 mins. Will go there from now on.

Had a lot of help from one of the on call pharmacists Vivian. She was really patient and helpful on explaining vaccines i needed for travelling. Really appreciate it!
