Great place to shop, offers wide range of product. However, the customer service is the worst.I got a new down jacket but quite a lot of feathers constantly coming out of the jacket so I decided to return or exchange if they have another one, went to the Brentwood store and the lady with blonde hair claimed that it’s normal, she suggested to wear few more time until the feathers won’t coming out of the jacket. It sounds ridiculous to me as none of my down jacket do have this problem. She also told me to ask the official brand store for refund by giving me their email address, trying to fool me around and accused me of making the sleeves dirty so that she did not need to process the refund. Finally she gave me a certificate card and said ‘just want you to leave right away’ in a rude and pissed attitude. Not sure if she’s trained to be rude to customers by this company, or she was having a bad day, I felt very upset and will definitely avoid purchase any products from this company.

Imagine this hilarious skiwear quest: I'm on a wild mission to snag a ski jacket and pants for my sister overseas. She throws her size at me, but with all those brands playing the size game,I'm like, "SOS, someone save me!"That's when the hero of our tale, "JAMIE," swoops in. Armed with a measuring tape and a heap of patience, she measures every piece I throw at her during our FaceTime fiesta with my sister. So, there we are, a trio of virtual fashion detectives - me, Jamie, and my sister. We're waltzing through about 10 jackets and pants, trying them on, cracking jokes, and voila, we uncover the golden one for my sis! Now, here's the kicker – without Jamie's magical touch, I'd be drowning in a sea of skiwear confusion. I seriously don't know how to return her support. Thanks a million, JAMIE, you're the real MVP (Most Valuable Player) of this shopping saga! ?forgot to say, And a shoutout to SPORTING LIFE – I've been a loyal customer since they opened shop in the Amazing Brentwood Mall. You guys rock! ?️

Saw a tent online, said it was in-stock on their webpage at the store. Came to the store, no tents anywhere in the store.Went to buy the tent online, except they can only take 2 gift cards for payment (bought gift cards with airmiles, but can only load $100 onto each one).Emailed them asking for help, they said I need to re-purchase the tent in-person, as then I can use my gift cards. But because tent is not in store, I need to buy the tent online, have it shipped to me, then return it at the store, then re-purchase it.Truly a convoluted shopping experience. Cannot make this up.•customer service eventually fixed this and I was able to resolve my issue luckily •

The pony tail manager Steven seems uninterested in work and rather arrogantly suggests using the sports check instead.

I recently visited Sporting Life in search of snowboarding gear, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to Abel. Not only is Abel a professional snowboarder, but his depth of knowledge and passion for the sport truly sets him apart. His ability to understand my specific needs was impressive. With his expert guidance, I was able to find the perfect bindings for my board. Moreover, Abel took the extra step to heat up my Burton boots, ensuring a comfortable and customized fit. What stood out most was Abel’s commitment to customer satisfaction. He patiently answered all my questions and provided recommendations that were tailored to my experience level and preferences. For anyone in need of snowboarding equipment and advice, I highly recommend visiting Sporting Life and seeking out Abel. His professional insights and friendly service have not only helped me make the right choices but also enhanced my excitement for the sport.Thank you, Abel, for an outstanding shopping experience!

I think twice about purchasing items from this store. They need to improve the check-out system.Long lines of customers trying to purchase and return products.Waited half an hour in line to return a product, when I got to the cash desk the computer didn’t work properly, so I was unable to do the return.

Nice place. Came yesterday to pick up snowboard biding hardware (listed online as in stock in the store) and sales guy after checking in the back and asking his manager told me they don't have it in stock and even if they did they probably wouldn't sell it anyways because they "keep it for themselves". So I ordered online with store pick up option and "not in stock" item was ready for pickup in two hours ??♂️

Be cautious when buying ski helmets from this company. Sporting Life charges PST on ski helmets despite that helmets designed for use in sport, recreation or transportation are PST exempt in BC as per PST Bulletin (issued March 2013 and revised Feb 2023). You only have to pay GST. On two separate occasions a year apart, I have purchased 3 helmets from them. I brought this up to the manager the first time who informed me that their system is configured for HST as the company is based in Ontario and requires manual adjustments for BC tax code. I requested they notify their head office as they're overcharging customers. A year later, I had to have the same conversation with a different manager who was also unaware and only thought this applied to kids helmets or bike helmets. To their credit, the managers did make the adjustments on both occasions. But until the company recognizes this error, a number of customers may not be aware and unknowingly charged extra.

I bought Salamon products from this store.Today is December 8, 2023. Really poor quality products. I bought Speedcrs 6 GTX shoes on May 21, 2023, the bottom of the shoe is completely damaged. I only used it for running. It is disappointing. Vancouver, Canada. The service is really poor.

I wanted to buy a pair on On cloud 5 combo shoes I checked on line it it said there was stock of size 12 so I took the family the the Brentwood Mall location went to the shoe area and asked the younger girl if she could get me a size 12 when she came back from the stock room she said there was no size 12 I told her the website said there was stock she said sometimes that happens, so we left the store angry. After standing outside the store for a bit I decided to go back into the store because I thought this girl didn’t look for the size 12 at all so I asked the girl at the check out to check on the computer if there was stock and she said yes there’s one pair left, so I went back to the shoe department and ask the guy that was there if he could check for a size 12 and low and behold he came out with the size 12,that same girl was there and as we walked away she was standing next to the guy with this smiling smirk on her face. I think she was just too lazy to look for them. I’ve had this same situation happen at two other stores one person says they don’t have what I want then the next person I ask brings me the item. Happy I got my shoes and will keep buying from Sporting Life

** This review is about my experience with Joseph on Saturday, December 2, 2023 **I wasn't expecting to receive any customer service during visit. After reading the reviews (not positive), I did my research ahead of time and visited the Brentwood location expecting to walk in and out without any interaction.Sure enough, no one greeted me when I walked in and while the few sales people in the ski area fawned over this one couple (Think: Hot + Nordic + Après-ski), I was left alone to check out the selection and answer my own questions.I was about to leave the store when Joseph approached me and asked me if I needed any assistance. Thanks to his initiative and genuine desire to be of service, I left the store with increased knowledge about buying the right ski equipment, recommendations based on my needs and abilities and a measurement for a ski boot fitting (100/101/Med Vol.).Thank you Joseph for your excellent customer service. If it weren't for you, I would have purchased my ski equipment elsewhere.Sporting Life is very fortunate to have you on their team. Keep up the great work!

Large, brightly lit, and clean store, specializing in sport and fitness apparel, shoes, and equipment. Unlike SportChek, they have other popular brands such as Patagonia and Arc’teryx. The women’s section feels comparatively smaller than the men’s section and there weren’t many items on sale when we went. The salespeople were present and ready to help. Can access this store by going downstairs from the main level plaza ground using escalators or the elevator.
